What do you expect/want from your boat mechanic?

The things I look for have been listed already - so no need to retype it all. I would like to know where you are at. Also - we need a good sea-doo mechanic around here too - know anyone? -
At least these stories have fish tied to them - I threw a $250 setup overboard because I lost grip of it - middle of winter so no diving for it in 7 or 8 feet of water. Tried to snag it for about a hour but never found it. I was bummed out!! That was about 2 weeks after my IPhone jumped out of my hands and sank like a rock - my wife wanted me to sell my boat after those couple weeks!! 😂

I don’t eat fish - buts that why I throw them back so I or someone else can catch it later. Those are great stories!!

I am sorry for your loss. I never knew Lefty but understand that he was a great guy and knew well work better than anyone. Praying for the family and friends.

I went for about 3 hours this morning - had 3 keepers and about 8 shorts. I didn’t even turn the graphs on to see water temp. I thought the color was good. Just the way I like it - 18” vis. Caught 2 keepers on the spook and the rest came on a jerker. I don’t ever put the jerker away - any time of the year.

It’s is muddy - debris was not all that bad - but it could have just been my timing on Sunday.

She made it - 917.05 according to the site last hour posted. It would be nice to be able to hold it there all summer without much fluctuations.

Not sure how much rain we have had but I would guess this will get us back up to summer pool pretty quickly. River arms are going to be a mess for a while.

The only guide I personally know of (lives around the corner from me) is Pete Wenners and I would hire him without hesitation.

The cats are eating. We caught 3 on a rock crawler last weekend - 2 flatheads and 1 channel. Big was almost 15 pounds. 34 in the boat is a good day - thanks for sharing!!

Add a drop or two of Clorox bleach and it only takes a couple days to get that oxidation.

I have been catching them on a spook for 3 weeks now. Right at dawn for 30 minutes is awesome.

I am a very right handed dominant person - with that being said I throw all twitching - walking type baits with a left hand BC reel and all other lures with a right handed BC reel. It took some time getting the hang of it but it was sure worth it in the long run. I don’t if you ever fish around Cape Fair - but I will let you use one of my setups to try if you would like to.
