I have never fished with crickets, but I do know that Petsmart on the south side of Springfield on highway 13 has crickets. Not sure if there is any difference in the crickets your looking for vs what they have for pet lizards or what ever.

It is a crazy lake... I am sure he was excited to be out on the water and still had fun. Way better than sitting at home watching the grass burn up.

It is definitely shinier and more sleek than my boat - but truthfully the only thing I see from that picture that that boat has that mine doesn't is a ladder. I can get a ladder for 100 bucks I bet. I might feel cooler behind that wheel than my wheel - but I am just a weekend bank beater and my boat will be fine for a long time coming for that job.

Nice fish Quillback!! I love that color of blue you have on your wobblehead. I use it as a trailer all the time with a black jig. I think I have only caught 1 meanmouth my whole time and you landed two in one day - beautiful!!

I never knew what a Quillback was. Very interesting. If I didn't read the article and only looked at the picture I would have confused it with a standard carp.

I didn't notice if that ramp was open. I fished that bank directly across from there but never even looked.

Mostly main lake, went into 2 coves and 1 of them was dead and the other I caught 5 or so.
