  1. Did Champ188 take everyone golfing or what?
  2. And I would like to publicly thank "Fishingwrench" for walking me through trouble shooting my ignition problem last night!!! Without his knowledge and speedy replies through PM I wouldn't have been able to go at all today. So - Thank you very much wrench for helping me!!
  3. I gave everyone time to heal their eyes from the last post that I did with my shirt off and feel it's time to post again. Launched at 5:25am with a breeze that I thought was perfect for a black and gold Buzzbait. It was just "ok" . No big blow-ups but had 10 just kinda suck it down. 3 of them were keepers at 16 to 17.5 inches. Threw spinnerbaits and a craw dad colored Deep Little N for the next several hours and had another 10 fish with only 1 keeper at 15.5 inches. Left at 11:00am to work on the cabin. The lake was pretty dead actually- I got to fish in peace which was great.
  4. When is "Wake bait " season?? I don't have any but I am interested in trying it.
  5. My dad would eat those things in a can - nasty as it gets, we'll I guess the fried pickle loaf sandwiches he made smelled bad enough to gag a maggot. I am out on all that stuff. But I'll take a double plopper!!
  6. I'll take it if you give one away.... :-)
  7. 1) white and smoke. 2) Watermelon and PB&J 3) black with blue trailer and a Missouri Crawford with a brown trailer.
  8. Sweet job on getting them on the fish! The people in Walleye country (up north that is) are even jealous of that mess.
  9. How long does it take to replace it? The first time you did it.
  10. I haven't been to shell knob but from listening to the reports and reading the posts - up the white river is a little bit better right now. I hear the fish are a little shallower in the James but not as many numbers. It has been a few weeks since I have been up the James.
  11. Thanks for the report!! I need to get out of the James sometime soon and try the upper end of the White. Only fished them parts of the lake for our OA tourney this spring.
  12. This guy was picking his nose on the main lake on a busy weekend. I guess he was knocked around a little while digging in.
  13. Yep.
  14. I hate to get into politics so I will keep it short - Make America Great Agian!!! Go Trump!
  15. Just giving a heads up to anyone that's interested in the Anglerspy.com. The price has dropped down and has good useful information for those that choose to use it. Check it out and decided for yourself.
  16. Thanks for the report Quillback. That's better than what I caught today -10 hours in the office. Lol.
  17. Dang. That's no good. Did you get it out or have to go in and get it removed? How was the fishing upto that point?
  18. Thanks for the report Mike. Nice fish!! I am with Abs on calling in someone to get the knuckle heads off the ramp - while I am driving to Moonshine so I didn' have to sit and wait for their arrival.
  19. There is a place in Omaha Ne called Joe Tess and from what I hear - they serve a real mean carp. I don't eat fish but have been told that Joe's has a line of people out the door every day because it's so good.
  20. Launched at 5:00am right on the dot. The top water buzzbait really took off at 5:30 until the rain was so heavy I think the fish had a hard time hearing it and couldn't see it very well because of all the commotion on top from the heavy rain. I put down the buzzbait and lit them up with a 1.5KVD. I had 6 keepers that topped out at 2.5 or 3 lbs. I caught no less than 40 bass. Once the rain let up and started to clear - it was over. Off the water at 11:00. Everything was shallow, right on the bank. It was fun!!! The Frog Toggs worked great!! They get hot though.
  21. James.
  22. Yep, that's why the shirt was off. Lol.
  23. Put in 15 minutes before sun up and fished shelf rock paralleling the bank to start with. Actually caught several shorts and 1 that was 16". I was having fun so I just kept hitting the same bank until 7:15 with about 18 shorts total with several hits and misses. By 7:15 I was out of bank. I ran up river a little and the water had more of a mud color to it so I tossed a chrome and orange wiggle wart with pretty good luck on numbers and I landed one that went 5.12lbs. I probably ended up with 30 fish and 2 keepers. Here is the LM - sorry for the nasty white blob next to the fish..... lol.....
  24. I met the MAN!!!! Stacey King!!! I am sure many of you have met him also but I was beside myself and giddy as a schoolgirl. Supper great guy. Definitely the highest profile fisherman I have ever met.
  25. I can't wait.
