My other melon was looking might tasty this morning. this 95-97° heat wave we're having sucks, hasn't rained in weeks. The ground is rock hard like concrete. Trees and other plants are starting to die off from the drought. Having to water my stuff every day or so. Still getting a lot of cocktail tomatoes about 500+ avg. every few days . The plants are all huge and peaking now. Would have been better had we had some rain 😞 The pinks are doing fine but not as good as the could be . Gardens need rainwater not city water...I removed all their suckers without tomatoes hanging on them to allow the remaining green ones to grow bigger and ripen in time as the season winds down. Did a quick count and found around 380 or so bigger green ones. I didn't count all of the maters,, a lot of them will need at least another month to 6 weeks. 🤞 Picked these today, still lots hanging.

A single tomato can get pretty large,up to two + pounds is possible. The plants can get really big too being an indeterminate variety. I've grown them in lightweight potting soil in big mineral tubs with drain holes that are secured to the ground with a t post and tomato cages because they can get quite top heavy

Trashed the kitchen because I'm a sloppy cook, but the result was a classic yellow and dark chocolate Hershey's. Frosting tomorrow 😋 Will lay down some Chocolate fudge with toasted nuts And This one needs vanilla butter cream with mini chocolate chips Always bake my chocolate cakes slightly under done ,don't like crispy chocolate corners on a cake, but luv em on a brownie

94° today, let's go for it,looks about there. Slightly larger than a basketball in size. Yellowing on top and bottom. In a day or two we'll see what we got inside

The two 🍉 🍉 I have are not getting any bigger. The vine has seen better days. I think harvest is nearing. Cocktail tomatoes are going wide open now. Picking off 14 plants every other day. Plenty to go around. The Belgium Pinks are re loading for the third time. Pretty much all the fruit below mid height has been picked. Now we wait....

I grew up in the sticks, still in the country now, and don't recall ever seeing this before. Growing under a giant blackjack Oak in the shade. There's only 4 plants together in one little spot. Any clues to what it is? Speaking of birds, I have to give thanks for the Male Cardinals who visit my tomato plants every day eating the caterpillars. Thanks guys!!

Pond to the East-Tough Summer Time fishing
Fish24/7 replied to Sprint21fter's topic in Table Rock Lake
I'm not seeing any schooling fish this Summer. Usually I can get on them early and late in the day but nothing yet. This lack of surface activity is very unusual. The fish I am catching are singles, never 2 in the same place, and the places they are at, are kinda hard to find, and the type of cover they are in, has been very specific. Definitely a challenge. Spend a lot of time looking but when I find that spot the heart rate goes up because I know my buzzer is about to get smashed. Making contact with the cover is what makes them strike. You can run a buzzbait all around the spot and they won't touch it, run it into the cover and they crush it. Trick is to get the bite before hanging up snagged 😄 I can horse them out with 50lb braid once hooked up -

Well since my boat has no compartments or rod boxes I travel lightly. One small tackle box stuffed with multi species gear, and no more than 4 rods.

Threw this together last night. Snyder's pretzel bites both Buffalo and honey mustard onion, and then tossed in some honey roasted peanuts. You get the spice from the buffalo, the sweet from the honey roasted peanuts, and the honey mustard onion flavor ties it all together. Wash it down with an ice cold Amberbock in a frosty mug

I'd rather grow in the ground, but this cocktail plant in this container is doing well. Just have to water it 2x a day every day and feed more often. I've got another one growing in an old white sink that's doing pretty good too.

Belgiums, I stood on a ladder for this pic to get an overhead view .the 5' fencing I'm using this year is working great so far . Last year I didn't use it, and this year I didn't prune hardly any suckers, just keep training them to grow along the fence. So far I really like this set up.

👍 Picked these this morning. If I can average 18-20 off each plant per harvest should be able to keep up with the demand. Phone is ringing every day now and I can finally sell a few. Belgiums you pick em when they still have greenish shoulders otherwise if you wait till they turn all pink the bottoms start to get soft. Picked one cocktail plant this morning too. Don't know what I was thinking planting 14 of them, but people like em for salad so they should be easy to get rid of. The twin monster plants 16'wide by 8' high Really hate being a month behind schedule this season, but things are starting to look right now.
