ââšī¸ Planted bush beans yesterday. No ripe strawberries yet. Tomatoes in the ground are finally adjusted to the weather now. They have doubled in size this past week. Found 11 watermelon vines that sprouted. Pulled the last of the winter onions for my fish fry tonight. Sorry no pics, it's raining đ

the old ,first generation ,Quantum Smoke 7'4" mxf HSC70 graphite That first 16" of rod tip is made just right imo for detecting bites, working the Ned through cover, and soft enough to let the fish tell you they got it, without them knowing you are about to get them, the rest of the blank loads evenly and has enough left to lean on em if needed to turn them đ

Who's had fresh goat meat? Have an opportunity to get some... Evidently the guy raises them for foodđ

Thank you for helping stop the spread, nice bass too! If only more people would follow CDC guidelines about unnecessary travel.

Well, hope they didn't spread any virus. There's been fewer boats during the week since some people are working again. Went from seeing 12+ trailers on the ramp and along the highway in Theo on a weekday to a lot less ,around 5 avg. I'm thinking about trying some new areas way off the beaten path. Almost anywhere there's blacktop leading to water is getting trashed and pressured. I picked up trash for 20 minutes last time. Wonder how much higher Bull is going to go? We got 2" since yesterday .

I'm just reading along and see the words Chuck Todd. I have no love for someone who has a divided US flag in a frame on his wall. To me that represents a divided country, and to display it in a frame and hang it up ,imo he supports a divided country.

Well , I'm starting new tomato plants inside again just to be on the safe side. Last night was cold again and they looked a little sad this morning. Just have to wait and see. This same thing happened to me last year. Tons of rain fell, BUT I had my plants in the ground weeks before the floods came and they actually went nuts with all the water because they were established. This year I am a month or more behind and I don't think the plants have a strong enough root system to endure that much liquid without drowning. Who knows

Not liking the weather forecast for my area,4+" rain. My maters are still in shock from transplant, the cold nights, the nonstop winds beating them up. Now most likely heavy downpours. It's not looking too goodđ might have to just cover them up with buckets and hope for the best if it gets too bad otherwise they are small and will get beat down by any hard rains, and too much rain they may be succeptible to root rot. Planted peppers from seed directly into the ground and they are just now popping up. Too much rain could drown them easily. Strawberries are growing bigger every day. I like to fertilize them heavily after the blooms set. It seems to really boost berry production. First harvest is gonna be sweet if everything goes smoothly! Put some watermelon seed in yesterday, they should be alright in their mounds. đ

I've thrown that deep 1.5 a few times, no luck . Gave it to a buddy ,maybe he can catch something on it. The xcalibur square bills are nice. Probably my favorite brand with the matte finish craw patterns. Quality components right out if the box. I just got some new Strike King square bills to paint and they have different, stronger factory hooks. The shanks even look shorter to me. Still, I swapped them out for ewgs. The 8.0 is one of the most underrated square bills out there imo. it's my go to plug when I want to match a big ol gill. It's a big ol bait and it has tremendous wobble. I recommend 14-17 lb test and a 7'3" mh xfast rod. Same rod I flip and pitch with. The extra fast tip you can feel the bites so much better than a fast or moderate fast that seems to just cushion the bait too much. I fish Bull Shoals a lot and catch lots of bass on sb cranks in the clear water. It's a good search bait for open water suspended fish that are cruising the upper water column. And recently I've been using a modified version of the 2.5 SK in the brush.

5/7 Got a late late start, didn't put in until 10.Fished till 1:30. Bite was already going when I got there. Second cast I was holding a 15" keeper lm that bit a modified square bill I painted green pumpkin with an orange belly.. Shady areas you could just cruise down the bank until you came to the next shaded spot toss the crank in there make about 3 handle turns and set the hook. Not big ones, but all keeper lm. Caught 5 doing that. Then switched it up with another bait and found some bigger ones. This one đ I bet just dropped the night before under that awesome full moon. Long and skinny. Caught 7 total ,all keeper largemouth. shallow in a foot of water.

Yesterday I was mulching some flowers and heard what sounded like a drone buzzing. Nope, huge swarm of bees passing overhead. Seeing quite a few bumble bees on the honey suckle too in the morning. Figures just when I transplant more maters into the ground we get another chance at a frost. They don't like all this darn wind either. 15-20+ every dang day, man. I can't even remember the last day the wind didn't blow like crazy all stinking day. Now even more rain coming again they say. đ

Exactly, I see vehicles from all over the US visiting Bull Shoals, Theodosia. Where I'd guess 2/3 of the population or more is high risk for covid 19. Seniors. People visiting the lake right now for vacation are just dumb imo,go home đĄ . I don't know where you stopped on your 800+ Mile road trip before you got here and then went to Cash Saver, Bullseye, Do It Best, Dollar General , liquor store ect. Just dumb, and you don't care. We have been very fortunate so far, no corona cases. Likely someone out of town will bring it here, someone like yourself. Especially if you live in a hot spot area. You infect just a few people in a town with a population less than 250 , where everyone who lives there goes to the same places, well ,just think about the consequences. You want to come here and just fish and not be around other people ,no prob. The rest of you who visit every dang store in town when you get here, smh.đˇ

I remember đ Sweet William. HEAVY Rain and thunderstorms right now, like Bull Shoals Lake needs more water ,geez

Was gifted a Shimano slx. Nice reel đ ,better than I had expected for what they sell them for. Simple to adjust, and no noise whatsoever. I also recommend Quantum Icon PT. Can get them for a really great price on eBay. Think around $50 last time I bought some. Depends if you like small reels with small spools, slx, or a little bit bigger reel with a larger spool ,Icon. My big hands like the feel of the Icon over the slx, so I put the slx on a pistol grip rod and it performs flawlessly

I've never been to Diamond City. I don't know. If weather is doable tomorrow morning I'll be back out there.

Bill I was throwing the Big Redfin. When they inhale it and turn away from ya and pull the rod tip down and the rod loads up with brand new Kitana hooks I'm puzzled how not 1 of the hooks managed to stick any of them.. and these were not small bass either. All of them were 5+. One bass was colored up black as night, and I had 2 chances with her. Another big one came out of the water right under the lure like Jaws mouth fully opened and took the entire fin and it disappeared. Somehow managed to never get a hook. At the second spot I got bit at the very end of a cast. She absolutely flushed the toilet on it! Reeled up slack pulled back and I could actually feel the bait slip out of it's mouth. Again no hook up. Frustrating when you get that many quality bites and just can't make it happen.

5/1 9-1 Not a lot to report today. Spent an hour crappie fishing only caught 4 keeps. Wanted to try some places I've been scouting for bass. First spot I had 3 bites, missed all 3 đ§. Not sure how I screwed that up they had the bait and were pulling the rod..Wasn't expecting to get a ton of bites in this first spot because its very small. Next place was the same exact type of pattern. Positioned the boat perfectly, made a good cast, got one to bite , and I missed it too! Just not my day I guess. Got a late start ,9:30. Need to get out earlier to maximize the low light conditions, and I probably should have bass fished first instead of chase crappie. Spent the last couple hours searching for gills. Water was dingy , couldn't see them up cruising. So I went to a place that usually has a few,and they were there. Had some thumpers today, 4 were 9-10". Wind was making it difficult to fish ice jigs on 6lb braid ,but I use neon green to see the bite and increase sensitivity. Everything was released. WT was reading 65-68.

I just like finviz, lol. And then use it to identify stock stages/cycles/phases. I've got some long positions, but really like to day trade,it's more exciting!
-
I've only been doing it about 4 years now. Had I been introduced to it sooner I would have quit my job many years ago.

There have been some amazing buying opportunities as stocks climb out if their covid holes. I'm a speculator,it's what I do for a job. Love being my own boss, work whenever. I worked 9-5s as an employee for over 25years, will never do that again. Trading is too much fun!

They sure are! Their spawning colors really pop.
