  1. any luck? is just a way of asking if he caught any, wasn't implying he needed actual "luck"
  2. talked to 3 people , i'm hearing high 40's , low 50's, not to say there isn't cooler or warmer somewhere, but seems to be about that range on average, last report I had 49-50 at the mouth of a couple creeks in Theo arm
  3. MoCarp, lol that guy is a genius to me reminds me of my Spro Frog mod
  4. 13 outta 100 , I'd take that finish anytime, congrats Sprint! i think this needs to be addressed and considered by every angler who throws Arigs, and i will only mention this 1time and i'm done. i've already stated my opinion in the past about the rig. I'm not calling every A rig slinger a cheater but they do exist. I worked at a dock on Bull for about 16 years. Was there when the Arig bite gained popularity. I can assure you there are many anglers who are using 5 hook rigs, or more, in MO on a regular basis, and a lot of this goes on during tournaments. If it happens on Bull, you bet your behind it's the same on TR. I have been to dozens of weigh ins and have talked to a lot of , but not all of the check winners afterward, walked around the dock looking at the boats to see what they had tied on, you wouldn't believe how many guys told me they caught their fish in MO , and showed me the lures. there lies a rod w/ a double flash mob with 8 or 10 hooks all rigged lying on the front deck, or another homemade rig with a dozen jigs on it, or just running 5 hooks on a "normal" Arig. imo An a rig simply makes it too easy to cheat with in MO. i know AR allows more hooks, but is 10 or 12 hooks legal in MO? NO. A lot of times I saw this in small derbys with 20 or fewer boats, weekend warriors, ect. The larger tournaments you don't see a lot of rods left sitting out during weigh ins lol., but it still goes on imo. it's not only tournament guys, it's the general population as well. They buy an a rig off the shelf, see that it has 5 clips , and rig all 5 clips with hooks TOTALLY unaware of MO regs ,or just don't give a darn about it. Many times i have had to explain MO regs for Arigs to out of state fishermen who "didn't know" the 3 hook rule. ps if some of ya'll saw Champ in person, i doubt you'd be bumping gums to his face, just sayin...there's no need to get personal feelings hurt or all fired up about it,whatever the matter/feeling may be w/ you. everybody can post whatever their opinion may be here, like it or not. it's all good. i get the feeling this needs to get back on track and not turn into another 10 pager about arigs, been there done that.
  5. I've fished around Theodosia area a ton for decades and I don't catch many walleye around there. Maybe I'm not holding my mouth right but you'd think as much as i fish there i'd snag one now and then haha. i don't even catch any small one's at all ;(. BUT when/if i do hook one it's always on a susp jerkbait, 4 pounds or bigger, and usually in December January February March. They catch a few during the white bass spawn way up the creek in April too but typically just at night and it gets really crowded at times. Since your coming in June I can tell you my Dad trolls a lot for walleye then and he's fishing Oakland bay area up to about the peel ferry area. they have a nice resort in theodosia TMR but it's approx 6 or 7 miles to oakland by water if that makes a diff. I rarely see any walleye boats or very many people trolling around Theodosia in June either. yes, a lot of walleye are found from K dock on up too.
  6. the 6'11 Expert is rated 3/8 -2oz? should have nice tip action for casting tight quarters and it also has a great backbone to stick em good when pitching, if your going to use that heavy plopper i'd buy that 6'11 over the Amistad which seems more like just a flippin stick to me with that 1/2-1 1/2 oz range. jmo the new Expert has new japanese carbon and the upgraded T3 blanks i believe, a little bit cheaper than the Amistad i think too. could buy a couple more ploppers w/ money you'll save maybe. heck I might buy that 6'11 myself , i like it!
  7. could drive a Mack Truck into that mouth holy cow!
  8. mmmm, YUMMY I love food! nice eyes
  9. WT 49.8-50 fished w/ Dad in the Theodosia arm from 8-11:30. Never in all my years fishing Bull have I seen so many gulls! shad kill going on , pretty much everywhere we stopped. Just focusing on points on the main banks, every one we marked fish from 7' down to about 30' which can make things more diff. when they are so spread out in the column. Plenty of shad to go around and both bass we caught were fat as can be. I caught a barely keeper lm with a susp jerk. He caught a 12" lm just as i unhooked mine on a grub. Then it got pretty stale. Rain came in and we weren't dressed for it so we waited bout half hour under a dock until it quit. so really we only fished about 3 hours. I had several hard bites on the jerkbait but never hooked them. sometimes i think they hit it with their mouth shut to try and kill w/ no intentions of eating it. or maybe they were teeny tiny bass with a bad attitude idk. maybe i had the wrong color, who knows. It was just good to be out there finally and get a few bites. prob go again tomorrow
  10. maybe it got a little to close to a turtle? they get gigantic in these deep reservoirs
  11. thank you sir
  12. made 3 of these, tennessee shad 1/4oz. these type blades put out a tremendous amount of flash and vibration for their size. airbrushed head has micro glitter like what's in the skirt
  13. Spro cranks, pearltruse and pearlized white simple colors, but in the right conditions they'll really catch 'em
  14. mid 60's and he's missed 2/3 of the Spring fun!
  15. thanks for the likes on my lures!

      JestersHK

You got it!  You do some really awesome work.  If I ever get a batch of cranks together to get re-painted I'll hit ya up.  Thats if I ever get tired of chasing the trout LOL...

  16. this magwart got a fresh new coat of Citrus Shad
  17. when are you coming back to Bull? walleye should be about ready to bust loose, and crappie should start moving up in the water column now
  18. sounds like you hit the walleye spawn just right, nice fish! always heard 48-50 was the trigger temp for them to start
  19. SOLUNAR TABLES/FORECAST have the early/mid morning as the major bite time past few days for table rock, may be linked with the early catches , who knows.. i always check the times before i go . sometimes it's pretty accurate, and other times the bass don't even bother to look at the clock ha ha. equinox and super full moon coming up soon! astronomical doubleheader! my top 3 biggest largemouth were all caught around a full moon . i'm sold on it.
  20. either because it's Monday, or they ain't bitin', but lake was pretty quiet today for light wind and 61 degrees. I was doing garden/yard work for about 3 hours this afternoon , never heard a boat today, and I can hear them (bass boats) when they are running around. figured the retired population would have been out in full force on a day like today, maybe they were somewhere on the lake, but not near me
  21. Anybody have water temps or any idea if the whites put on their feedbag yet? Usually mid March those sow whites start packing it on!thanks Ham have you had the Cat out on Bull this month? I bet you are getting excited about Spring! I know I am!
  22. i enjoyed watching this ! hope it puts a smile on your face too !
  23. yesterday took a drive and saw a couple creeks were muddy and high. Saw a few rigs were out yesterday. Anybody fishing in the dirty water? There's a little floating debris around Theo, but not too bad. I've not been able to get out there lately.
