  2. 2 series 4's, 2 series 5's, and 1 5xd(chart green back orange belly and has holo glitter added) , 4 series 6xd's, the first chart sexy 6xd has some worm burn on one side, they have been lightly used and modified with markers and replacement hooks, 2 need hooks and rings so you can put your prefered brand on them, I'll even throw in some FREE custom made tackle $25 shipped paypal
  3. that's interesting , if a guy could find a used press to modify it would be worth it, but those machines look expensive,, jmo
  4. looks like Momo's been throwing rocks again , JK?
  5. judging by the look of the water ,and banks you were fishing, you couldn't have picked a better color minnow imo, nice fish!
  6. i can relate, i've found a short rod/handle is also good for fishing in and around standing timber and heavy cover when making precise casts to targets is necessary. Had a guy in WA make some 6'mh pistol grips out of All Star blanks just for this very purpose. I rarely if ever get to use them on Bull but I always take them along when I fish the rivers where I grew up.

  11. anyone talked to Bill or seen him on the water? He hasn't posted a topic in months. Just wondering if he's alright and still fishing.
  12. beautiful day, awesome fish!
  13. A buddy brought his boat this time. We fished from 10:30-4. Bets bite was from 3-4. Put in at Theodosia and spent the first half hour riding around so he could get the feel for his new rig. Asked if I could run the troller while we fished so he let me take the bow. We started fishing 10-20' on bluffs with TRD on homemade jigs and promptly had enough Kentuckies for supper. Made a move to try and find some largemouth. Power fishing was out of the question because neither of us wanted to work that hard yesterday, so we threw some custom pro football head hair jigs. After trying multiple color combos we believed 100% that these bass were dialed in on a specific type/color craw and it was just one of those strange days when color was a big part of the pattern, and everybody that fishes a jig often has that color in their jig box. Fished those prime spots we found on the map on gravel banks between Pontiac and Theodosia. Average size was something to be proud of. Bites were in the 10-15 range. All lm were released. Here's the biggest 2 of the bunch.
  14. good luck , hope you find some! i might slip out tomorrow evening, if not then onThursday
  15. that's what i thought too at first, heard it was a bridge inspection crew . it had a scissor lift or something like that on it
  16. if I fished that area I would have replied, hope you found some fish.
  17. they've been busy in MO, lots of new piles North of Pontiac in the last couple years. I really like the groups of standing cedars they put in , have caught tons of crappie off them.
  18. what was that huge pontoon barge that launched by the Theodosia bridge this morning?Had never seen it before. It was so big they brought it in with a heavy duty diesel rig. I was way above the bridge and couldn't see much detail but it looked like it was at least 35' long w/ a big silver machine thing with ramps on top of it 6 or 7' high
  19. I haven't been to big creek in a couple months but that time is getting nearer. It's close to the house and I love fishing there in January. Got out early today for about 3 hours before the wind. the Kentuckies were all on ned rig, bluffs shallow. Caught several. had my limit in the first 30 min. Almost every fish was a small keeper. bellies were packed solid with craws. threw them back.
  20. look for shad balls offshore in the back of major creeks in 7-12 fow. Stained water is needed. not clear. Put your back to the bank and throw a shad color crank that dives 6-8' deep .i was using a series 3 SK. This has been a very productive and reliable pattern for whites and largemouth.. good luck!
  21. i use singles on a lot of my hard baits. fewer snags ,fish can't throw them as easy as a treble, fish stay "hooked up" better during the fight imo, fewer foul hooked fish, better lure action w/ some baits, faster/easier/safer for me hook removal are a few reasons for switching out the trebles http://imanangler.com/single-hooks-vs-treble-hooks-the-great-dilemma/ been doing this for a couple years now and I still use trebles if I'm having a hard time hooking up but that's usually not a prob
  22. great choice in color aarchdale , nice fish too! red has been RED HOT !! if there's 1 thing you can count on every year at Bull it's throw something with red on it in November.
  23. those little bass will get ate up pretty quick by their older cousins, lol Saw a pack of 3+ lb bass tear into a school of 4" bass that were chasing itty bitty minnows on the surface.
  24. nice head shot! darn mussels , those are the first one's i've seen/heard of this Fall
  25. still looking for new home/s
