    Fried πŸ” tonight
  4. All good except for the 2 big snakes 🐍 🐍 that snuck up on me from behind and swam past within a couple feet of the boat. I sit low to the water they could have easily crawled in . A 10' boat and 5' snakes don't play well together πŸ˜„
  5. A blast with a 4'6" spinning rod!

    What's Cooking?

So tempted to pick a half ripe tomato right now πŸ˜‹ gotta be patient though just a few more days! Sunday had rib eye, pasta salad ,and homegrown sweet corn. Corn wasn't quite filled out yet but was delicious.Marinated steak on the grill wasn't bad either. Last night was ham hocks noodles and garden green beans. YUM
  8. 7/2 8:30am to 12:30 Fished above Theodosia bridge. Went to the bluegill hole. A nice shady spot. Boat sitting in 5ft or less. Not as many bites this time but still decent size. Caught around 4 dozen. Didn't see as many cruising like they were last time. Also threw a 1/8 homemade double Colorado blade spinnerbait for about 30 minutes. Caught 7 small largemouth bulging the surface.

    What's Cooking?

Pickled homegrown green tomatoes . Got a quite few maters on the vines starting to ripen now yay! Should have the first ripe tomato of 2019 in about 6 or7 days In 3 days these will be ready. Will fry up some Bull Shoals catfish to go with πŸ˜ƒ Something decided to eat the sides out of a few of my bell peppers😦 they were hanging too close to the ground and some were touching. That's my fault. I saw they needed picking but waited a day to long and something got em. Was going to make some pineapple salsa with them
  11. Tigers are in bloom🐯 My favorite flowers in the yard.! Started growing these about 20 years ago. Got seeds from a woman who had grown them every year for over 60 years.
  12. didn't need to see that second videoπŸ˜• I want 28 seconds of my life back 😯
  13. Awww, dang man. 😑 we have πŸ‡ too, squirrels, and deer but they have never really been a concern. For some reason they keep away . Yeah once in a great while the deer might chomp on a lily but it's rare. Armadillos and opossums root around in my strawberries sometimes. The things I have problems and struggle with every year are bugs and caterpillars and diseases. Trying to keep things as organic as possible to resolve these things. If I even skip 1 day of attendance in the garden problems will arise. My tomatoes are so fussy right now when it comes to their feeding schedule. They are needing so much phosphorus lately ,way more than I had expected. The cardinals and mocking birds need to step it up when it comes to the keeping the caterpillars off my maters! πŸ…πŸ…πŸ…πŸ…
  14. Asian lily, the smell is heavenly Bell peppers just took off last week plants have doubled in size since then. There's also hundreds of green tomatoes now, hope they ripen! πŸ‘

    trout

Best trout I ever ate was about 10yrs ago at Anglers Resort on the White Fresh caught fish fry on the dock with all the fixins. Sometimes the ambiance where you eat trout helps the tasteπŸ˜‹ The fishing was awesome! Went bass fishing in the warmer creeks and they were very aggressive , and caught really nice sized trout in the river too! Several 24-25" browns, all released. 1/4 and 3/8oz orange and brown rooster tails with gold blades
  16. Never made it out there ,maybe try it Sunday
  17. πŸ˜† which lake are you gonna keep this one at?πŸ˜‰ just kidding buddy
  18. I have that reel!
  19. With todays technologies it's hard for me to believe anything I see on TV or web anymore. Hope that pic is "for real"! For ex. I saw an app where you can change the seasons of your videos to make it look like winter when it's really August ,or like Fall when it's April ect.
  20. Was watching a fishing show recently where a guy was using a big jerkbait literally jerking it as hard as he could by the looks of it. Repeated casts to same target spot. Snagged an 8lber in the back and it was weighed and the weight added to his total. Have never seen anyone work a jerkbait that hard ever. That's bs jmo wonder if the new electronics where you can see the fish right in front of you had any play in this. It just looked fishy, npi.
  21. Gotcha, so fairly light weight. There's times I flip with 1oz . Especially in clear water. the fast drop sometimes triggers a reaction bite as it sinks and then when it hits bottom it makes more sound and disturbance . . That's just my thoughts. Gonna try to sneak out tomorrow 😏 thanks Seth
  22. I remember a veteran BASS pro once said "If a guy just fished points all day he'd catch some bass" and you did catch some on a point. Flipping is so much fun! Haven't tried it in a while, maybe next time. Seth what size weight were you flipping please? What kind of banks were you flipping steeper or flat if you don't mind me asking ? Looks like it's up a foot since last Thursday /Friday πŸ˜•
