  1. 5/15 6:30 to 10:30 Basically same pattern and places again. Still throwing a worm. Tied on a ๐Ÿธ too. A Red eye shad on another rod. Saw lots of big shad activity and gar everywhere . Red eye caught some short fish off the drop offs. Caught 2 on the ๐Ÿธ and missed 2 because I was setting the hook to quick. Worm bite was still decent. Not as many 3lb fish today but still fun! Saw/caught a few late spawners on beds too. All released. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Especially when the gar are 15 pounds or heavier!

When nobody is watching I've been known to hook a few monster gar with a fly rod. I use rabbit zonker strips on gold panfish hooks with a BB shot.
  4. 5/13 8:30 to 3:30 . 3 1/2ft. Visibility Was so fired up after watching fishing shows, and in such a hurry to get out there ,I forgot my cooler, phone and lunch at the house ๐Ÿ˜ž Same place as last time. Never had a bite until noon. A light breeze switched from N to W/ NW and it happened. From noon to 1I caught 7 keepers and 3 shorts. Nice size on the keepers all 3lb class and fat. Plus one lunker I guessed at 5lbs. 11" c- mac worm Texas rigged 3/16oz .they wanted the ribbon tail today. Depth 3 to 7 ft. Close to drop-offs. I fished these spots for hours without a bite earlier in the morning. After that,,, no bites. Planned on staying till sundown but was so hungry and thirsty I quit early.

  6. Glad to see the boys on the Arkansas side are moving the courtesy docks as the lake rises. Across the border, not so much..
  7. Nice fish! Wonder what it is about the sides of points in the Spring.? That's something I've noticed too especially with brown bass.
  8. The law is aware of what goes on at night around the lake and streams. This kind of activity isn't anything new. I called in some guys grabbing walleye a few years ago. These fools tried to tell me walleye were biting their grab hooks ......as they pulled them out of the water tail first. A kid was sitting on a log ripping the sides off them too. So I waited an hour nobody came. Either didn't want to mess with it or was busy somewhere else I guess.
  9. Thank goodness for high water years to grow more fishes๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  10. Great report thank you! Despite the conditions you still caught them nice work. On a side note Spearhunters abound after dark wearing headlamps and shooting at anything that moves. Nobody cares evidently this happens Every spring. Big creek or Haskins ford after 11pm is not a good idea. I wanted to try for whites after dark but not with crazy bastards with guns spotlighting the water and goofing off. Will just keep fishing there during the day when they aren't there. somebody who spearfishes there must be diabetic and dropped their insulin syringes ๐Ÿ˜ก I Don't blame the warden for not going there. He knows about these places. Besides he has so much water to cover in the first place. Plus people on narcotics are extremely dangerous and he would be outnumbered .. I keep extra trash bags in my car to pick up the dirty diapers beer cans and whisky mini bottles they leave behind.
  11. Corps park launch area in Theodosia is almost completely under. Not sure a guy could even get turned around to back in now. water is getting up there near the campsites below cookies as of yesterday. So much debris I wouldn't want to even launch there anyway. http://bullshoals.uslakes.info/Level/ Good charts to compare yearly dates and water levels
  12. I'm assuming most ramps are underwater. Saw some boats launch off the little gravel road at the Theodosia bridge yesterday. corps park is also open but if the lake come up more it flattens out alot and you have to back pr3tty far into the water then. Backing down the road at spring creek and launch off the blacktop there is another option That's all I know.
  13. Were those missing kayakers ever found in Taney county?
  14. Came so close to me in Theodosia I could hear it -Not my picture-
  15. Ky3 TV sucks Beck and Hurst always stand right in the middle of the darn screen and I can't see where I live lol. I like kolr 10 nobody standing in front of the radar can see the whole thing .
  16. Plenty more bushes to fish now! Weather was great imo when you were here and the bite was great too! It aint always that easy ๐Ÿ˜‰ thanks for reporting!
  17. Thanks for the pictures!
  18. Didn't we Flood about this same time last year? Same week same day? Just Weird
  19. Where I fished the other day carp were all over too. Wind was blowing across a mud flat where they were spawning actually made the water more stained where I was catching bass may have helped the bite some lol
  20. Oh ok, Maybe gar? They are schooling up by the hundreds above Theodosia bridge. saw some monsters a week ago.
  21. https://87825-349762-raikfcquaxqncofqfm.stackpathdns.com/assets/rowingdock-busy.jpg https://www.rowingdock.com no thank you ,go right ahead. Even without power boats not interested in being around so many people. Hope we don't start seeing flocks of boards and yaks like this on Bull๐Ÿ˜ต wrench you going to Aquapalooza this year? ? Just joshing you man
  22. Celebrate fist bump and then take off your pants ?? Glad that's where the video ends๐Ÿ˜ฑ
  23. ha ha i get it no I meant turnips, just putting this out there for anybody now, please correct me if im mistaken who is doing the planting but i am pretty sure mdc spends a lot of time and money making food plots and the deer dont even eat it because they dont know what the hell a turnip is to begin with. for example ive seen deer walk right past a mdc food plot with lush greens and grains ect. only to start feeding on their usual foods . what/who are they trying to feed? turkey? quail? ive never seen any game eating out of a mdc food plot on BUll. just a huge waste of time and money imo. bout the time they get them looking all pretty and green the lake floods anyway and cover them up, idk. the only thing eating the turnips and the greens are the poor folk, and the backwoods methbilly bunch who also cut the heads off of big bass, little bass, tiny bass, keep anything they catch or spear, doesn't matter to them. . same people who tie a stringer of 20 suckers to the back of their quad and race up and down the dirt roads dragging fish behind them, yeehaw stupid i'd rather they stock more fish than plant vegetables is my point..
  24. betcha a dime they were whites and crappie, thats where i was told to look for them suspended off bluffs but didnt try it, some friends of mine had about 50 crappie in the same type location/depth. on artificial soft plastics, opposite end of the lake in MO up around Theodosia schooling fish are so much fun ! i bet you guys had a blast!
