    I fish both rivers almost monthly throughout the year. I agree with Phil and I've noticed the same difference in rainbows from Norfork to the White too. Those rainbows in the Norfork are darker colored than the ones on the White. Even the bigger rainbows (15-20 inches) on the White are not as dark. I thinks it due to the water clarity and the lighter bottom on the White. Both Taney and Norfork can look almost black on the bottom at times. Just my opinion. Pete

    Hey Griz, Although my dad raised me as a fly fisherman I made my first ultra light Fenwick rod when I was 10 or 12 years old. I still have it and it looks like a ten year old made it. I'm definitely in. I probably went to Taney 6 times this year, I love it. Somebody tell Cody to wear shoes this time. Pete

    Done. I had a great time with the jig. I think that video will dispel any doubts about the number's you can catch that way. I have to look at my schedule but I will be down sometime in January. Maybe New Years weekend. I'll let you know. Pete

He devoted several years to that effort before he was rewarded" At least he got rewarded. As all I got in return, was in debt for the gas I burned going down there. "I saw an Outdoors in the Heartland show where they were jigging a river in the winter catching Sauger and other fish. I'd like to do that" We used to book Larry Woodward to do that and it was a blast. That was long before he was on TV. Pete

    After asking my girls what I should bring, they recommended salad. I could bring a big salad for both Friday and Saturday. I'm struggling with what to bring so let me know if you think this would be okay. Weather looks great! Pete

    Hey guys! I'm in for Thursday to Sunday but I won't get there Thursday till night time. I'll bring sandwiches from The Hill and some beer and water. If there isn't room for me in a boat I'll fly fish and wade. If there is room I'll pay for gas. Do i need to call Riley's to reserve myself a room? I just spooled up with nano. It's white! Pete
