  1. Sound plausible to me. It is a "mobile" station after all. I didnt realize they were selling the eggs. I thought the state biologists were the ones incubating them.
  2. After Labor Day and before memorial day I have been known to make exceptions on my weekend boycott. Usually for tourist relatives. 18 stubborn mules, haha. Everyone of them as reliable as the lake is wet. I have an '83 seanymph keeping them from sinking.
  3. Welcome!
  4. Bman, Maybe it is just me, but I dont quite understand your question.
  5. Does anyone know what the species name to those bass in Iraq?
  6. I use 5 inch senkos for brownies here on Taney. I dont rig them wacky style but tip hook them or use them as trailers on hornets. Those and sluggos are both in my arsonal and work very well. In fact, a 5 inch sluggo is my go to soft bait for big brownies.
  7. If only that money would go towards regulation enforcement. They could pay salaries for 10 officers with that kind of money.
  8. How many that size do they release on a monthly basis? I have been to roaring river. They didnt grow that big in the stream.
  9. Hey Chief, You would like my rig with its '61 evinrude!

Hey DC! If you would have panned your camera a bit down stream you would have seen my place across the lake. You got to get better so I can jet across the lake and pick you up on my boat!

    Shorty Smalls

Shortys is nothing but another corporate restaraunt. Like Applebees, Chilis, Rubys, or Romanos. They are all subject to good or bad management. Landrys on the other hand is a Branson staple. I would put them on the top 10 places to eat in the Ozarks. I can say that with my 15+ years of prior experiance as a fine-dining Chef.
  12. Welcome!
  13. I only fish Table Rock an accumlitive of maybe a few weeks a year so my thoughts of the lake are constrained in experiance but over a few decades it can show as an example. I have had modest results with the wiggle wart and personally have found certain patterns in wich a wart is most productive. They tend to be best used when it is windy on sunny days on the shady parts of the shoreline. Timber, gravel, docks, or rock doesnt seem to be particularly a factor. They all equally produce. The color of the wart doesnt seem to be important either. Craw colors are the predominant selection but I have caught them off shad colors just as well. And with the red tiger color (do they even make them anymore?) I have done really well when there is a little stain in the water.

The lake has receeded some, but it is super muddy.
  15. I have always thought that the Scotty Dock should have been moved down stream instead of up. Seemed kind of mindless to choke the channel. And as far as the the areas around short and Lilleys, pretty much that whole area from cooper creek ramp and up to the dam should be a no wake zone. If anything but to force people to be courteous to those that are fishing. I dont go up there often, but when I do it never fails that a minimum of 4 boats will fly past me at a maximum 50 foot from my boat. Ive had people actually run over my rapala. Its ludicris.

DC!!!!!!! I miss you buddy! Get better so I can bore you to death with my brownie jig fishing tech.
  18. ................................ <-------------- Thats me not talking. TOUCHY! Dont feel like you have to apologize FlyFshn. I got the joke and I think anyone who has spent any time on OAF knows it was at my expense and not aimed towards the tourney.
  19. Thanx Don My Brother is entertaining the thought of getting those very models. I told him about the seminar and he is going to try to make it.
  20. Flyfshn Haha, When did you become clairvoyant? Actually I was thinking.."just one good brownie hmmmm" Haha I have had a rough week or so when it comes to the trout. Been sticking to the bass. I didnt expect them boys to do much better than I if the trend was contagious. As it looks, the high water will kill it until probaly thursday so I expect my creel to continue to be the same as late.
  21. I feel your pain with the floating debris. Its the main reason I prefer not to troll here on lower taney.

As I predicted, it is now over the walkway to the fishing pier and the grass on the ends are sunk. The park is underwater as well.
  23. I buy 90% of my gear right here off the internet. Cant beat shopping from the comfort of your home and the selection is unlimited. I will use Bass Pro as a guide then go straight to the manufacturers page if I feel Bass Pro's selection isnt broad enough.
  24. From what I am seeing outside my window, the walkway to the fishing pier in Rockaway is on the verge of deluge. It wont surprise me to see it go under later this afternoon.
  25. Whats next? Bloody Boogers? Haha Kleenex anyone?
