Just like a Flomax commercial. Haha

I was just wondering if those limb lines up in bull creek belong to anyone here?

DC Water low enough to drive across yet?...Haha I fished around K docks about 6 years ago or so when the water was real low. If I recall my brother caught 8 to my 2. It was summer though and we were fishing rocks for bass. Of course when it gets low the only thing in BS to fish is rocks. To be honost, all the times I ever fished BS going back 30 years I havent been that impressed. Although I have only fished the upper 10 miles or so except for one other time. That time a buddy of mine took me to Theodosia to fish off his Grandparents dock at night. Got really hammered drunk but did catch a mess of Catfish. Often thought of maybe fishing that dock again but I dont remember how I got home...Haha. Didnt pay attention on the way there.

Heard through the grapevine that nothing but bows are being caught below powersite. If I am correct we still need some longer days before they start moving. I may be wrong though.
-
Marabous and road runners both will catch you more numbers. You increase your sizes somewhat with Raps. For the bigger ones use diver-cranks. All my really big ones(20" and up) are usually caught on 3 to 5 inch jigging spoons and lil goerges fitted with big colorado blades.

You will find that the last day of any month restaraunts will have a limited stock. Especially end of the year. This is primarily because after the store closes at night they have to do "end of the month" inventory. Well, since everything has to be weighed, measured, and counted, a smart manager will allow the amount they have to count dwindle the last few days of the month. Am guilty of that practice myself. Makes for a faster count since there is less to count. Now that is no excuse in failing to let customers know what is not available. And you should never run out of any signature items. Especially if the product is part of your company name. I went to Ryans Steakhouse a few years back and believe it or not, they were out of ribeyes, t-bones, filets, and Strips. All they had was sirloins available and I wont eat sirloin. I consider it a cheap peice of meat. Needless to say I had the grilled chicken.

Try bluegills on Viagra. They are always jumping the bait but they tend to complain about a headache. Haha

Best of luck to ya

Raps always work.

So when is Scottys marina gonna be changed to Lamars Marina? Haha If it were mine you bet your bottom dollar it would be callled "Trav's"
-
Deep water structure pinpointing. If your doing it right you can win these tourneys with just 2 nice brownies.

Hey Lamar, You are new to the sight so I wont razz ya too much. Most these guys know I am a born critic and can find fault in everything and anything. You will get used to it or learn to put me on "ignore". Haha. Also, I may talk crap but I am not "full of it". When I say 10 pounds is an easy mark to beat, I mean for me. Most the guys doing those tourneys couldnt even get a limit if they had to fish below roark. Thats a fact. Maybe you should read some of my old posts. Might enlighten you about the depth of my knowledge on this lake. I average 30 brownies a year over 20 inches, 42 in 07. None of them above roark. Ask all those fisherman coming and going out of your "new" dock if any of them can say that. As far as being in a tournement? I wouldnt be a part of any tourney that allows bait fishing.

First home? AAAhhh the joy of being a homeowner. Im glad everyday day that I used to be into HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical Contracting. Saves ya alot of money when your toilet clogs up and spills into your cooling coil then shorts out your fuse box. Doesnt hurt to know a little about carpentry and drywall either...Haha

You talking about Pier 76 hotel? Near the downtown bridge? Thats been gone for quite a few years now. If you fish that area alot try trolling some 2 inch rapalas. If you get below roark creek(below BassPro), troll deeper with some medium diving cranks. Might not catch as many fish but your catch size will get alot better. Also, If you get down towards Rockaway and find some 20 to 30 foot areas, look for cover in your graph and vertical jig above it with jigging spoons. Thats where your big brownies like to nest. Have to be patient with the spoons. I can jig for 2 or 3 hours and only catch one fish. But it is almost always over 3 pounds. I can average 5 to 7 pounds per fish on most days but I know where all the cover is already. Less time hunting. Fish the cover fast, if you dont get a hit in 20 to 30 minutes find more. Just like if your Bass fishing.

Did any of them go below roark? A 12 inch brown weighed almost 4 pounds? Must be a typo. How can you weigh in a 12 inch brownie? Thought there was a law against stringering the pups? I am just going to assume it was a typo. How many bows out of the slot limit were there? Were they all released alive? If I would have particiaped, all my fish would have been dead when I reached the scales. Treking 30 minutes from my chosen fishin grounds. But even if I did show up with a bunch of dead fish I would have beaten 10 pounds and with just 4 fish. Of course, I would have been handicapped an hour just to do the commute and If I didnt pick up at least one of my average brownies(around 6 pounds) it would have been a tight one. Still, I can average almost 2 pounds a peice with bows if I catch enough to cull up. Thats close to 8 pounds for half the stringer numbers as a team. And not even get sticky bait fingers. Bait fishing in a Tourney? Do we have no ethics? I would have been really upset to loose to a bunch of dough sopping-worm drowners. Haha Might as well add electro-shock fishing and dynamite as legal tourney methods while your at it. My retarded cousin can catch fish bigger than the 1.3 pounds per fish average that this tourney produced, if, he could use red wigglers and a bobber. I have seen him do it. 45 year old "Dudeeder" and all. Im sorry if I am sounding critical. Just curious as to how something for money can be so lax. We are talking about $3300 of combined purse money. I guess the important thing is you got to go out and fish competitvely(sort of) on such a pretty day. Was a great day of burning out a tree stump for me.

Depends on where your drifting. Anyway, Dont work the spinners too hard. I am assuming your refering to rooster tails or mepps inline spinners. Vertical jig marabous and roadrunners. If you must use bait, tip them with small minnows or half a night crawler. My late Gramps wouldnt fish without some kind of bait. He did really well with just leadheads of red, yellow, green, and even black, tipped with red wigglers. Jig em like you were crappie fishing. Course he was raised in texas and didnt know any better. Haha

DC As long as your taking good care of him. He will be safe up there with those "long limber sticks". As big as he fought me, he could use a little dental floss off those whipping poles. Haha I use 10 pound test and I thought he would own my lil george for sure. That 2 and 4 pound test dont stand a chance. Sorry to hear you skunked out on BS. What were you fishing for? Sometimes all you can catch is trout above Beaver creek This time off year. Especially if the water is low. No expert there, havnt spent any real quality time in "them parts" in years. Last time I fished BS was above swan creek in 03. Mid summer heat, Catching bows. Thought I was better off above the Dam. At least there I could avoid the hassle of trailering my boat..Haha

Do they spray out rental waders like bowling shoes? Haha Hope nobody pees in them.

Good thing Missouri dont have a "3 strikes" law. If you get GTA alot you must have a good lawyer,be 14 years old or both. Who knows, you could be posting from prison...haha We would never know the wiser.

I ended up with a Program called Uload. Incidently was the program that came along with the camera. Its been doing what I want to do so far, but keep in mind that I dont do much other than converting file sizes and cropping. Sounds like there are some pretty phenomenal programs out there but I am afraid they might be a bit of an overkill no more than I need for capability. Thanks for the info. If I have anymore questions I will definately "shoot" them your way.

GTA= Grand Theft Auto right? haha

Lets not get into stories of animals tearing crap up. I can go for hours about my dock and the otters...Haha Even my Varmit Killer has problems getting them. She dont swim quite as fast they do.

Stayed pretty much in the middle of the lake between lost forest and powersite. I was doing more graphing than fishing. Looking for deep water change ups between 20 and 30 feet. I think I found a cliff that started at 24 feet or so that dropped fast to 40. Didnt catch anthing off it but might be a holding area for some big brownies when the weather gets hot. All and all I had to crank some shoreline when the sun was on them(was too tempting) and picked up 3 sport bass. Then on my way home I vertical jigged the long beach cliff wich didnt produce anything. Still looking for the one that got away..Haha
