I rarely fish all day. Usually average 3 to 5 hours at a time. 3 to 5 times a week. I logged in over 2000 hours in 07. Thats unusually high compared to the 3 previous years.
Sorry if it appears I have nothing better to do with my time. Haha.
I just have the luxury of living on the lake and my boat is in the water year round. I am semi-retired at a spry enough age, so no time clock to punch. I think most anyone in my position would take advantage.
Plus I spent a better part of a decade in the fishing industry so hitting the lake is more of a ritual/habit to me. Most the time I dont even make the decision to go, I just out-of-habit end up migrating through my day with fishing being what beer-thirty is to others. Just sometimes my fish-thirty starts when I wake up, and sometimes its after lunch or even after dinner in the summertime.
Hope when you retire you get to do the same.
