Managed deer hunts? I could manage 20 bucks a year off my deck. How silly. I don't hunt deer here in the ozarks, they taste all nutty and they are not of the fat index that I like. I prefer my venison from Iowa or Nebraska. Even Kansas has the fat ones. If you want a little 100# 8 pointer, I can give you a few dozen. In fact, I will be glad to show you where to kill them. My dog has them all figured out.

I am not sure what your size preferance is, but the lower taney has the highest percentage of gills between 6 and 10 inches than any public water in the state. I fish for those under 5 inches for bait and am lucky to pull in 5 or 6 out of 30 to 40 caught. I suggest smoke grubs with no wieghts with floating jig heads, with trailers at 6 inch interavals palomar style. You will catch 2 , 3 , and even four at a time. Bull creek and any little inlet down stream from there that harbors some warmth will hold hundreds of them. Good luck to ya. You wont need much luck...it is like fishing in a barrel.

The same tributary as outlet # 1, above the hatchery. Kind of makes me think twice about the trout I am eating. I think a big batch of special kool-aid for every person on the planet might do it. Until someone makes the batch, I am pretty attached to Missouri. I can't prove that with all my Iowa Hawkeye and Iowa State Cyclone garb. Born and raised in the Drake hood until I was 14 or so. And went back to attend Drake after High School I am a little attached loyalty wise to IOWA. Graduated Branson class of '87.
