Another quick report…..
We went to Hermitage around 8am and the ramp to the courtesy boat dock was under water so ended up launching at Nemo where the dock there was 20 feet from the shoreline but the wife could get in the boat from the shore there. The water is up another 3 feet from last week and there was less than a foot of visibility. The temp was pretty much 50 degrees all around the bridge area.
It was kind of breezy with the wind coming out of the northwest. We didn’t have much luck. I caught only one small Largemouth in two hours.
The water was a bit too stained for my liking but it was OK. We only had a couple hours to play anyway.
I would like them to keep the lake up until the first of June...would mean an awesome spawn success. However mother nature seems to be dumping a bunch of rain so the risks might be higher than the reward.
Thanks for the update!!
They did so much damage to my dock and boats on Lower Taney I trained a dog to kill them on sight. Between the otters and the two-legged thieves I won't keep a boat in the water anymore. Cost me way too much money.
dah...If I would have read the original post I woul have known that...haha
I am going to pass this info to somebody...you may or may not get a call...who knows.
I spent a lot of hours fishing the Rock before Pomme and this tactic works great. However, when the water is below 50 degrees you are going to find it tough going if you can't find where they are staging....

Quick report here…not much to brag about. Ha-ha
We put in at Hermitage around 3pm and fished until 7pm. The lake is up an additional two feet from last week. Most the water in the main lake was 44 to 46 degrees but did find some 52 degree water back in a cove. The visibility was about 3 feet.
It was a pretty day out but the fishing was tough. We couldn’t buy a bite. It was very humbling to say the least.
Hopefully this warming trend continues. If it does the fish should be moving up in a couple weeks.
