Phil Maybe its because I dont read literature I see as "opinion" not related to mine, But I dont see the comment as "over the top" so much as it is a dare to read said literature. Its like saying..."read Mien Komf...if your not scared" or "read I Ching.... if your man enough" or "read Dianetics....if your not too stupid" or "read the Hebrew Bible.....if your Jew enough." Literature is just text and if it isnt factual it is fiction. Facts can be proven and disproven. Fiction distorted into fact is for sale everyday via the National Enquirer. And it is no dispute that alot of people "have the guts" to read that.

I hate to say it Kido, but you make a valid point. Maybe a bit narrow to say that all good moral leads back to JC but adherently we are all taught good from someplace. For most it is from thier parents. And they learned from thiers, and they learned from thiers, ect, ect. Over generations of social upbringing, religion and a so called after-life for the good doers has been a mainstay of what people were taught. A reward so to speak for taking the good path instead of following what is natural to the human species wich is to be opportunistic, greedy, and, selfish. I think the past is what links the religious sheep to thier beliefs. It is a social tendacy to conform that drives. It shouldnt be that "my Dad was a Jew so I am too", it should be "I choose my own way and will to be a better person". But for most they need the crutch/cloud of religion to do good or their weak moral will give in to the dark side. You cant even do a 12 step-program until you convert your will to a higher power. That higher power being your"will". I find it all insane to disillusion yourself to be better, but for alot of people they are too weak without the smoke and mirrors. Anyway, I stray. I just wanted to say that Kido is right that we are all taught by someone to be good and that someone may have been taught by someone that may have followed the teachings of some 3000 year old text. Wich, in part might be of some religious values checks and balances. Yet I remind you Kido, that we are evolving everyday. Further and further from the teachings of our ancestors. I think that is the point Al will agree on. People who dont belive in evolution cant see the evolution thats right in front of them. Think of the advances the human race has made in just the last century. If that isnt evolution then what is? If we seen horses start to shoe themselves we would say they were evolving. Wouldnt we?

A trickle charger should automatically dump excess juice once battery is at full charge. At least that is what I have been led to believe. I personally rotate batteries as they are completly drained. I was told at one time that your battery will last longer if you only charge them when they are mostly drained of power. So I will use one until it is below half power and switch them out to charge. And I never leave them on the charger for much longer than it needs to be. Thats just me though. Keep in mind, I only use mine for a trolling motor and a graph. Not to start a motor with. I have heard several other practices and I am sure the whole aspect is different if you have an onboard charger as well.

Haha!!! Al, I offered to have your back and you beat me to the punch with backing mine. I have always said that if you need a crutch to except your being then by all means I will respect that. Just dont try to cover the truth that the human race is an invasive non-natural part of the ecosystem. I will never think that there is anything other than what I can touch and feel. Science is turning into an exact reality and those of you that refuse to see the infestation are just as blind as Hillary was when Bill was "talking" to Monica while she wore that blue dress. Saying that the human race was created is as unfounded as saying the sun is nothing but a big furnace. No different than saying the earth is more than a big dirt ball floating in space. With the rate than the Anthill is infesting this dirt ball, it wont be long before it is nothing but a pile of crap. I know something about piles of crap, my dog loves to roll all around in them. And it is no better smelling than the human race.!! Im all over the place. I would say it is pretty evenly covered all around. Lately I have been using black silver fleck on white guppy and white/blue on chrome rogue. Since all the high water, I havent even gotten out of 10 feet of water. I average 6 feet. Hope that helps you.

I was using a little micro trap, blue over chrome, maybe an inch long. The only true advantage to using a trap is its presentation at the boat. I caught 2/3 of my fish at the boat. I was catching them off pretty much anything shiny I can throw at them yestereday. I noticed that for every cast that I didnt catch a fish I had 3 or 4 follow it all the way to the boat. With a trap you can get those followers to strike by jiggling figure eights before you pull your lure out of the water. They were very "nippy" so a single hook jig or a wobbly spoon just wasnt giving them enough hook to set them. With a micro trap, you have two "small" trebles in thier face at all times so when they "nip" they get nothing but a face full of trebles. A real bummer when landing, for those fish caught at the boat are totally full of energy and hard to work the hooks out of (plus I think I caught my fingers a couple times as well) but at least your not losing them in mid air when you fling them into the boat. Started off seeking my usual Largemouth and White Bass this afternoon. Got totally distracted by the stocker bows. I caught 2 off a rogue and kept getting nipped on a guppy so out of boredom I drug out my ultra lights and my little cleos and caught 7 more. Switch to a micro trap and really nailed them. Caught a total of 28 in just 90 minutes. Im not usually into catching stocker bows. Too much like bluegill fishing, but I had a great time today. Only 4 of them went over 18 inches with the biggest at 20 or so. I didnt measure. Just guesstimated.

Hey DC The electric trolling motor idea is good in theory. One, it really only gets you moving fast enough when there is no wind or traffic, and two, at full throttle your battery will only last you about an hour or two. Especially if your like me and only troll up current. The lower lake has been crazy lately. Can you believe it has been weeks since I last caught a brownie? The high water has really put a bummer on my trout fishing style. Thats why I have been primarily Bass fishing. Am going to spend almost everyday next week on Table Rock. Hope I can find some of those Stagers Bill keeps bragging about. On another note, I got a better look at the sediment build up on the down stream side of the fishing Island today. There is a serious berm built up there. The kiddies will have fun with the bluegills behind it this summer for sure. The water should stay fairly warm in that corner. Well, as warm as it can being in Taney.

Went out for the last few hours of the evening and caught a total of 8. Two rainbows, two whites and four Largemouth. Again I was using rogues and Guppies. The water was rather low, but of course I think I am used to seeing it really high.

DC, Haha I dont know about Pray. BUT, I sure do love to Prey on those fishes!

I would suspect that in the years to come we bassmen will appreciate this high water. This year could be one of the most successful spawn in the lakes history. As far as moon phases, I absolutely believe bigger bass feed much more aggressively during the full moon. It might just be a confidence thing, but I totally Expect to catch decent fish while night fishing a full moon.

I paid 72 bucks for my last battery from O reillys. Your right DC, A Battery is one of those items that as long as it works it doesnt matter.

My apologies Phil. Sometimes an expletive seems to fit soooo well. Not that I am excusing it.

I have used Nautilus and Die hards. I have found that marine Batts from O Rieleys work just as good.
