I remember years ago when my brother and I fished the fencing aroung the little rodeo benches. Didnt catch a thing.

I am hearing the same story from all over the Ozarks. Seems that right now, the only great fishing is near tailwaters and even those are under high water conditions.

Havent been doing alot fishing as of late. Between the muddy water, the cold wind, and a list of winter projects I am wrapping up before planting season, I guess you can say I have been hindered. Im not one to let the cold stop me from hitting the lake but I guess I have had enough bitter fishing for this winter. Plus, as anyone who has tried the lower these past couple weeks, the water has been far from ideal for fishing the lower. So, I dont hold it to hard against the Lil Lady for wanting my home improvements to be finished up until next winter. I did sneak away this afternoon for a couple hours. Wanted to see if the Bass are cruising or staging. From what I gathered they are pretty much 50/50. Another day of catching sports from the full spectrum. Fast ,Slow, Cranks and Tubes. I caught 8 in all. Most were picked up from 8 to 12 feet of water. That tells me they arent ready to school the flats yet. We still need alot of sunshine.

Dano, All Roland did was find his stiffest rod, grab his plastic by the hook, pulled and let go, just like a sling shot. I have tried it, but quite unsuccessfully. Theres probably a trick to it he didnt share.

I was watching Roland Martin do a cast he called the "sling shot". Used to direct cast through cypruss trees or between closely moored docks. Can hit a 2 inch target at 30 mile per hour. It looked like it would be hard on your rod but he could fling a lizard 25 yards between trees that are only 8 inches apart, just like a crossbow.

Yep, a tank usually will last me 3 days if I dont do alot of running to powersite.
