  1. Never eat your boogers if you use them for bait or you will have to beg for fish at the store. Haha
  2. Im one of those biting bluish-purple flys that prefer decomp. The same kind that always seem to drown in the blood of my chicken livers when I go Night fishing for Channels. Haha Of course, if you beat a dead horse too long you get something else besides flys. Tender horse meat. mmmmmmmhmmm good
  3. MMMM...Kool-Aid. Try it! you will like it!
  4. I talk to myself but its more like what a shrink would say. Haha "How does that make you feel?" "Now what do you get out of that"? and my personal favorite...... "Was that really worth the emotional investment?"
  5. Regulations mean nothing if not enforced.
  6. Thought I would throw out a fun topic this week.
  7. Haha I rarely fish all day. Usually average 3 to 5 hours at a time. 3 to 5 times a week. I logged in over 2000 hours in 07. Thats unusually high compared to the 3 previous years. Sorry if it appears I have nothing better to do with my time. Haha. I just have the luxury of living on the lake and my boat is in the water year round. I am semi-retired at a spry enough age, so no time clock to punch. I think most anyone in my position would take advantage. Plus I spent a better part of a decade in the fishing industry so hitting the lake is more of a ritual/habit to me. Most the time I dont even make the decision to go, I just out-of-habit end up migrating through my day with fishing being what beer-thirty is to others. Just sometimes my fish-thirty starts when I wake up, and sometimes its after lunch or even after dinner in the summertime. Hope when you retire you get to do the same.
  8. I hear ya I just want channel cats in Lower Taney. Probably wont happen though because of the precious Trout money.
  9. Haha They must have smelled something they liked.
  10. Have a new underwater cam and was wandering if anyone can give me any advice on what pixil selections I should use. I do alot of internet/emailing of pics and was also wondering if I can change pixil size of pics after I have put them on the puter. If so HOW do I do it? Plus, I would appreciate any pointers from anyone on dos/donts of photography. Haha, to tell the truth, I am more of a point and shoot with auto settings type of guy.
  11. If your lakes there are all "turned over" then a warm weekend wont change your tactics much. Stick to slow finesse type rigs, close to if not on the bottom. Fish deeper than 12 foot. In shallow lakes you might move up to the 8 to 10 foot range and speed up your presentation a bit.
  12. As long as happiness isnt something warm and wet in your underwear. Haha
  13. The Bass were definatley not clinging to structure today. Found all 9 that I caught hovering off secondary channel points and deep. Reminded me of Tablerock in the Summer. (without the warm breeze and jet skis) I also didnt find more than 2 in one spot. They were very scattered but that isnt too unusal for here. Had to make em mad to catch them though. Fire tiger in both red and yellow were the options for the day.
  14. I have one that is sold by Rapala. Weighs up to 30#. Cost me around $20 so not so expensive. I did replace the hook that came with it. I took an old stringer clip and modified it for easier handling of the fish.
  15. DC, Hello!!! Nobody ever listens to me!!! Haha I told ya the answer to all the problems. Special Kool-aid for everyone! Haha, sad but very true!
  16. DC Im not supposed to wear my fire suit in bed? What will I tell my Girlfriend? I think she finds it "Hot"...Haha
  17. Sorry No such luck! Haha My dog has yet to get a squirrel that I am aware of. She absolutley despises them too. Probably because they are so hard to catch. Although she is getting real good at climbing (and falling out of) trees. Scene her chase one "tree rat" 15 feet up a cedar. I guess thats her way of doing a little "pole dance" for me....Haha
  18. Even colder today!
  19. MMMMMMMMM.....Belly full of groung hog. She dont look like a savage does she? Haha Attachments work fine in regular posts. Now I get this error with attachments in my blog. "The requested file upload failed because suitable permissions have not been enabled on the 'uploads' directory. Please contact the board administrator and inform them of this error." Haha.... I guess the pic was too racy. Maybe I should have put some clothes on my darling Valentine.
  20. Who keeps cars in the garage? Nothing but tools and tackle in mine. Haha
  21. I will plug the GOP! Go McCain!....wink
  22. Haha CG Lets not get into that subject again. Ewwwww
  23. same here...its the entry form page causing the issue. Hmmmmm, I have won tourneys before with only half the limit. Just not for trout. I am afraid my big brownies arent 50$ worth of predictable. Haha
  24. Im getting the same problem Phil. Also, I have a question. What if I prefer to fish alone? I mean, I am not much of a team player. I like to fish where I want with no debate. Partners cramp my style. I am curious about this stipulation. The tourney wont pay enough to have to show somebody else my tactics in order to compete.
  25. I finally get the attachment option but when I go to post the entry it errors out. Something about the IPS.
