Every season brings benifits. As a Bass man Spring is my fave, however during Summer, Fall and Winter I will target other species. You can't beat Winter trout, Fall walleye, and Summer cats!

I think if you can catch fish one way in the Ozarks you can catch fish anywhere! These lakes have a niche. There is a big reason why Denny from our area ruled stuff for so long. You mix that up with the northern style of KVD there is a lot to learn. Denny is a man of patience where Kev runs for the fast quick agrresive fish. Either way you look at it they have one thing in common. They have a style of fishing and they stick to it!!! Pick your style and have confidence. Work it like it is all there is. I have always told this over the years. Mostly as advice for Lower Taney but it works all over the midwest. USE your Favorite lures!! Do what you are cool with. Don't change your style. If you know a way to catch fish don't think you have to change it just because you are on new water. The rest of it fall in place......

With all this rain, the water is going to be kind of dirty for a few days up there. Might be OK for cats though. If you want an area close to some deeper water from shore I would try the state park.

Mine have been on since the first of April. I have had only one guy wave at me.... while pulling my boat down the highway. Not even sure who he was. Probably don't see anyone because I don't fish weekends or holidays. I keep looking anyway!...

The thing about guys like Eric and myself is we don't feel the need to apologize for something we are not sorry for.... We say what we think and that's that. I for one have been on the recieving end of so many dog piles it has almost become a sport...Haha...
