  1. Fished around Point from 5 -8 tonight. Water has gotten very nasty looking, visibility is a foot at best. Water temperature 65 degrees. Just a few caught -on gentle slopes gravel. Best was this 3.5 lb SM. (sorry for the sideways pic, again) Bobby
  2. I was planning to head to Point 5 area again this evening but decided to try Beardsly after I saw Nitros post this afternoon. Fished from 5 - 8 pm catching about 20 short SM and one keeper Spot on a green pumpkin Ned on gentle sloping gravel points. Around 7 pm the wind changed to the east and for about 10 minutes had a fish on every other cast and probably was bit on the others but could not detect the bite. Nitro, thanks for the post. Bobby
  3. An ex-wife?
  4. Not to be confused with a warmouth? which I caught the other day on a Ned.
  5. 96 Champ, good for you. I was out in the same areas that worked for me last Wed - Sunday this p.m. from 4 - 8 pm and only one short fish. Guess I should have went earlier. Oh well, nice day but the humidity is starting to climb. Water temperature around Point 5 went from 59 last night to 65 this p.m. Bobby
  6. rps, what baitcast reel do you use? Thanks Bobby RPS, Thanks for the info on the baitcaster. I cut off the tip of my index finger when I was young which makes spinning reels difficult to control (but doable) and thus I prefer the baitcasters if possible. I'm starting to really like the Ned but find that the lighter weight jig heads are working better for me. Bobby
  7. Spinner bait, Whopper Plopper and square bills that worked Friday did not work this evening. Water temperature had dropped two degrees to 59. Found fish (all SM) on gravel points with 1/8 oz. green pumpkin Ned. Bobby
  8. rps, what baitcast reel do you use? Thanks Bobby
  9. Ben, got the App thanks
  10. Fished a couple hours in the late morning and again for an hour or so in the evening. Water temperature 60 - 62F, water visibility about 4 ft, lots of pollen on the water. Caught several shorts and two keepers, morning spinner bait and evening whopper plopper. First time with the Whopper plopper - lots of fun. Bobby PS - sorry about the side ways pics - I'm new at this.
  11. Ben, does the link posted here get real time updates or do we need to wait for you to re-post to OAF. Thanks Bobby
  12. We have been catching some off our dock (Indian Point area) - cleaned 9 the other day but they were just barely legal size - mostly males. Question - two weeks ago they were good size (one was 2.5 pounds). Why bigger then and all smaller now? Bobby
  13. Phil, Can you send two OA stickers please.  Robert Bitter, 676 Angora Rd., Branson West, Mo. 65737

    Thanks

    Bobby

  14. Wrench, How do you think the Whites are effected by dirty water on TR (James)? Thx Bobby
  15. Fishslayer, what's the water conditions up near Blunks? Thanks Bobby
  16. Bill, Thanks for this report and the recent three day weekend report. Question - I note that when you report about the darn area and in particular the recent weekend report as well as reports by others that there is rarely if ever a report for N. Indian or Little N. Indian. I also observe that this area of the lake is several degrees colder than other areas. Do you fish N. Indian and if not can I ask why? Thanks Bobby
  17. If you go to the darn office, call ahead because only a Corp Ranger can sell the pass and sometimes they are gone - this happened to me a few weeks ago.
  18. Mike, Ya know it does that just to bother us.
  19. There is a guy that rides one all year long near Indian Point. I saw him riding the other day.
  20. There's one loose one near Indian Point but I don't think yours traveled that far.
  21. OK, thanks, planning on trying that and maybe up to Point 5 and/or down Long Creek a bit.
  22. going out shortly at the darn area but where should I go and what should use??????????? Bobby
  23. So 10 inches is not good enough?
  24. Devan is correct. There is a similar situation up on the James between Bridgeport and Galena. In the Spring there is noy enough parking for everyone on the Corp land and I've been told that the HOA can and have towed people that park on private property. Also the HOA has a courtesy dock that they lock up.
  25. The electronics used to reduce the speed from full to something less causes the problem and is usually helped by the chokes. If the sensitivity is set really high some distortion will remain regardless. I'm wondering if Humminbird fixed this with the new Helix units. Anybody out there using Helix 9 yet?
