No english bulldog. I'm at the hospital now waiting for my first rabies shots. This sucks.

I'm outside the city limits so the Sheriff is all I got.

Looking for some insight as to how to proceed. I was bitten by a neighbor's dog last week as was my dog - all on my property. My dog and I both ended up in the emergency room. My dog had the worst of it. I went to Cox (Taney Co). The hospital sent a report to Taney County Health who in turn forwarded a report to Stone County health. I also call the Stone Co, Sheriff and filled out "report form" with them. I was contacted several times by Stone Co, Health who told me the biting dog did have rabies vaccine but they would not release any other information. I'm told that because Stone County does not have an Animal Control Department, the biting dog is not quarantined by the county but the owner is asked to do so. Stone County Health just called recommending I start the rabies vaccine asap. I have called the Sheriff department several time and they will not release any information to me. There is a Missouri Statute that addresses dog bites and requires much more than is being done here. I retired from the big city (Kansas City area). Things are just not done this way in the big city. WHAT AM I MISSING HERE?

Are you out of the warranty period?

If you have a Garmin graph tied to the troller, look to see what the graph says regarding the troller version - my last issue occurred trying to go to 4.06 which "bricked" the troller. One of the techs I trusted told me not to upgrade when I got the new troller (#3 for me) which I have not done - sound like there has been another version since then.
-
Archdale - please let us know what version you end up with and in the end how it works. Regarding you friend, it sounds like the GPS in the troller has issues - I think you can use the gps in the Garmin fish locator - not sure how - I believe my setup uses the GPS in the chartplotter but if I turn the chartplotter off it uses the GPS in the troller - I think this only because if I do turn off the chartplotter and the troller uses the gps in the troller the boat does not do the 10 ft backup thing on the initial spot lock.

Please help me pick out my Christmas present

Thanks for all your input. I must have been a pretty good boy because Santa is going to bring me (via one of his helpers, Bill Babler) TWO Cara spinning rods - a squirrel tail and a drop shot. -
I suggest redoing the calibration. If the problem repeats, call the Garmin Force Help desk while you are out in the boat and they will determine the problem/fix - they have a call back system so you don't have to wait on the phone. archdale - the reported upgrade to fix the reverse issue is the latest or next to latest so you would need to work thru several as I recall one of your remarks on OAF that you did not upgrade software. If this is the case, you would end up doing several upgrades to get to the one you want. In doing so, be careful to wait an extra long time to assure you are done with all of the upgrades. Repowering in the middle of series of upgrades "bricks" the unit - this happened to me even though the Garmin tech was on the phone with me at the time. Also I was advised not to do the latest upgrade as one of the Tech said it had problems. Please let us know if it works if you decide to do it.

Waited until about 9:30 am when temps. rose to go out and planned on just looking around. Hade zero expectation of catching anything given poor Solonar, high barometer, and late start. I found fish still holding at a place that worked last week at the mouth of a major creek. Gulls and loons with fishing and lots of shad here and there. WT 55deg. Fish at 40 - 50 fow and sometime in the middle of the water column. Caught 7 fish in about one hour - all keepers except for one. One LM and the others were Spots. The better bite came while throwing to a distant fish noted on the Live Scope. Fun watching them come from a distance to whack the bait. It appeared to be better to move a couple boat lengths after catching one fish. The blue gills did not bother so much today. Never saw another boat. I love these cool sunny mornings on the water. I generally ask Santa (wife) for fishing stuff or power tools for Christmas. This year I’m looking for a sensitive spinning rod and am asking for advice from my friends at OAF. I’m thinking a 7ft lure weight of ¼ - ½ oz. I favor Falcon, St. Croix, and Lews. I’m kinda thinking St. Croix Premier as I have a 6 ft Premier spinning rod that feels pretty sensitive to me. I do have a heavy Cara casting rod that I know is sensitive and a couple of higher end Lews that I’m not sure are all that sensitive. The criteria here is very very sensitive. What would you recommend? Thanks Bobby

Sometimes Yes - I can definitely count the number of fish better on the Live Scope but sometimes I can tell fish hugging the bottom versus something lifeless in part because the image comes and goes as the fish moves
-
Bill, Excellent report - Thanks Questions regarding "All those are Gills" - Do you think some (even maybe one) could have been a bass? Are you able to tell the different in the graph and if so how - Live Scope, Down Image or 2D. Comment - yesterday morning I found that although the graph showed fish, after I caught one I could not get a second to bite at that location so I learned to just move to another spot. - of course this is the dam area. I was wondering if all the bites I have been missing were blue gills. Are you snagging them with the spoon?
-
I recall a lengthy discussion on this website with the take-away being that if you immediately release the fish, nothing else was needed. Am I wrong?

Been out 7-10 am last couple mornings - WT - 55 deg to start - fish can be found in 40 - 50 fow in the mouths of the bigger creeks, sometimes hugging the bottom, sometimes suspended 1/2 way up in the water column - casting to a target using the LiveScope works best but vertical can work as well - using tiny fluke on 1/4 oz head or heavier and a 2.8 kitech on a 3/8 head. I bet I can only bring one to the boat for very 6 that bit but will not hold on or maybe I am doing something wrong. Being a retired engineer, I like messing with the equipment which could be a reason for not staying connected with the fish. I annotated one of my pics thinking ya all may enjoy it. All fish caught in the last days were keeper Spots and SM. Really nice mornings for sure to be out on TR.en-cache://tokenKey%3D%22AuthToken%3AUser%3A32954183%22+172d4dc7-955e-9e46-ba4a-c1850916ff59+04f3284ec3ff67bd767e086bfadf0387+https://www.evernote.com/shard/s250/res/871969bc-3021-a861-9dcd-667b60a313a0 Bobby

Had trouble as well - planned on going early again but it was 22 degrees when I got up so I waited until 9 am- probably a mistake - the places that worked earlier in the week had no shad and no fish - drove around all over the place looking at bigger creeks mostly at the mouths - finally found some bait but only a few fish - caught one nice Spot and missed a couple others but it was time to go home - did enjoy watching the Livescope as fish would trail the bait but then just catch up and turn away - still pretty nice day - 55 deg water near the dam.

fluke - standard size fluke on a cheap thin wire round head jig head with a enough lead to get it down quickly - up to 3/8 oz
-
Tried ice jig, drop shot worm, slab spoon, kitech nada. I took note from Dock's recent post regarding the fluke and it worked. Fish in 40-60 fow. wt 57. Caught 5 in one location quickly - mouth of a bigger creek. I did not see much bait but a loon showed up to keep me company so I guess there were some around me somewhere. The opposite bank was loaded with bait - several hundred yards away. Needed to have several fish together to get bit. I tried to take a pic of the live scope showing the number of fish schooled up but they would not hold still for the camera. Only saw 3 other boats all morning - really nice day once the sun got up. My neighbors use to catch lots of nice crappie off our docks but not anymore - whites as well but they have not been there the last couple years.

Kim City - Nov 22 - Deep bite with regular Fluke
bobby b. replied to Dock-in-it's topic in Table Rock Lake
Excellent - so did you present the Fluke vertically or was horizontal movement of the bait needed? Also does Lowrance "active target" have an adjustment for down viewing only and did/would that help? -
How could one NOT have problems/issues with anything Federal government related? Although we just renewed our dock permit without incident or some new requirement or changing out light fixtures that were good last time but not acceptable now and need to be changed to what was acceptable two renewals ago. What specifically are your problems with the Corp? Bobby

Thanks for the info - curious if you duck hunt around here - although I like bass fishing, duck hunting has always been my No. 1 thing - been duck hunting from the Dakotas to Corpus Christie but not the Big Lakes
