My father and I finally made it down to Taney Saturday evening around 5 to get in what fishing we could. We stayed at Roaring River a bit longer that day! :P Started off pretty slow that night as I tried many flies, but only caught one small rainbow on a black wooliebugger. Sunday, was a great day, great conditions, but to me seemed pretty slow, morning especially. I did have great luck in the afternoon time using a Griffiths Gnat slowly stripping in back slowly. Think I ended up catching around 20 that day, slower then I expected and really didn't see very many fish being caught day. The biggest fish we caught were around 15"-16".

Sad thing for the day was there were 2 teenage boys running around outlet 2 and they just kept reeling in fish after fish. I was stunned as I was trying to figure out what was going on. Well, to my surprise, (should've known) But they had the Taney shuffle down good. It was sad as their father was right next to them and allowing it to happen. I was going to say something to them, but they were just getting ready to leave once I noticed what they were doing.

All in all it was another great trip. Wish I could have met some of you out there, but I am sure I will get to meet some of you next time.

"He told us about Christ's disciples being fisherman, and we were left to assume...that all great fishermen on the Sea of Galilee were fly fisherman and that John, the favorite, was a dry-fly fisherman." - Norman Maclean-A River Runs Through It
