snap Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Was wondering if there is any snow/ice to melt to raise the river??? With the CFS hovering around 300, way below the norm of nearly 700 for this time of the year, it kind of scares me!!!
Brian Sloss Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 It is dead low and we have not gotten enough precip. to raise the levels. It will probably be well below normal until we get spring rains. At this point we could use about 6-10 inches of rain over a few days. The bigger parts of the recent snow storms either just missed us to the north or west. We have gotten a few inches of snow this winter, but no where near enough to get noticeable rises in water levels. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
snap Posted February 13, 2011 Author Posted February 13, 2011 Thanks Brian,.....that is what I was afraid you were going to say!
Mark Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 God forbid you have to get out of your fancy smancy boat and get wet!!
snap Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 c'mon Mark....you know me!!!! With the levels this low, the wade fishing is SO much easier. I am worried about getting 4-5 of us in the canoe, especially with the winter weight some of you put on!!!
gotmuddy Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 I had to get out at the narrows three times going upriver with my 9.9. the water was cooooolllldddd monday. It has probably warmed up 5-10 degrees this week. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
