Members darrelconaway Posted March 31, 2011 Members Posted March 31, 2011 Hello everyone! I'm new to ozark anglers and really appreiate reading the topics! I've got some information i would like to share which you all may already know! The weather channel on the internet has a fishing report for any area. Just go to the weather channel and 'CLICK" outdoor and "CLICK" Fishing report. It Gives you moon phases for each day and a graph on the peak time to catch fish and wether or not the fishing is bad, fair, or good. This in no means that you will catch fish because weather has a big part in it, But, i used it for last saturday and it was dead on. We went to cape fair to spoonbill but never got to it because the crappie were biting very good at the peak times of the fishing report. It was'nt a pleasant day, because we got hailed on, rained on, and windy. We like to froze to death at one point but we have a fishing trip to talk about and laugh at later in life. We caught a total 14 crappie, 1 channel, and 1 perch between running the boat back to the dock to warm our wet feet. We had rain suits, and we was dry but we did not prepare are shoes. Lesson well learned! I really can't say how many more we might have caught because we keeped heading back to the dock to get in our van to warm our feet up, but i feel that we would have caught many more.
Buzz Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Welcome to the forum and thanks for the tip and report. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
