Mitch f Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 GreasyB and I have been trying to get out for a while but our working schedules never permitted. Well, it seems today the stars became aligned and I got to go Take Greasy out in my jet boat. We had to buzz upstream for quite a while until we found clear water...it was worth the gas. We started out fishing with spinnerbaits with not much luck. We pulled up to a good deep log in the clearer water and Greasy puts on a creature bait and catches this fish... Then proceeds to catch this fish on another deep log.... Then another LM Then I switched to a creature bait and caught all the little ones! Ha Ha It was great to get out and finally have a day of fishing! Way to go Mike! "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor

Terrierman Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Wow, those are some really nice fish. I guess last year didn't do in everything. Get me fired up. For another cold wet weekend. Thanks a lot.
LittleRedFisherman Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Holy Cow guys, those are some awesome fish, congrats on getting on the water and catching some pigs!! There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
Guest Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Ya'lls best 4 might weigh 16lbs or better! Stout for river fishing. That's an unidentified creature bait for sure, did yall pour it? The log pattern is real good this time of year. I pitch a biffle bug junior or baby brush hog on 15lb mono with a pegged 1/2oz bullet sinker. Usually they're right under the root ball. Thanks for the pics. I needed to see that
Al Agnew Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 I'm coming back to Missouri in a couple weeks and that makes me look forward to it even more. Supposed to be cold and maybe snow tomorrow here. Great fish!
Greasy B Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Thanks for a great day Mitch.
