IF I did have to go and buy a slip to put a boat in, it would be Emerald Beach. My heart starts to race when I pull into the beautiful park at Viney Creek. When I round the bend a San Succi and look up past Carter and Cedar Creek, a smile comes to my lips. That area my friends is what Table Rock Lake truly is, simply magnificent.

It is surly one part of the lake that the fish are always biting.

You did not hear that from me.

Good Luck

Hardy-har-har ! Got a rise out of all of you didn't I ? By the way, I wasn't the one who commented "lead 'em like a duck", just LMAO at that phrase. Yep, I know fully well a dock isn't considered your "castle". And did I advocate in one single word to SHOOT the thieves on sight ?.... not unless you flunked reading comprehension.

There has to be some ending to this problem and the Water Patrol can't do it and neither can any other branch of LEO. It's up to dock/boat owners to take necessary steps to protect their property somehow, someway. Knowing the historical inadequacies of the Stone County Prosecutor's office I wouldn't waste my time in taking any surveillance photos or videos to him. Heck, most of us around the Lampe area are ticked-off that one of the two killers that simply walked away from the LUC Boy's Ranch last Winter and brutally beat and stabbed to death the two elderly residents of Trace Hollow was granted a change of venue to Newton County. In other words, people are fed up with crime and lenient treatment of criminals and some aren't going rationalize it away with an "Oh Well" attitude anymore and are not going to simply sit back and put up with it.

And Champ, unlike most of your informative, common sense posts that are appreciated by all, your claim that my post added fuel to the fire of the anti-gun nuts was way out of line as I did not advocate shooting anyone, just laughing at a phrase and questioning suggestions that the drudgery of hauling every last piece of equipment out of their boats at night was the ONLY way to stop this thievery. You guys with experience know darn good and well that people with boats on trailers in their own yards or in front of their motel rooms are frequently targeted as was Mr. Babler's expensive trailer hubs at the boat launch parking lot in broad daylight on more than one occasion.

Just wondering if a metal can full of firecrackers with some source of booby trapped ignition would divert the ones causing these acts. The metal can would be covered, in order to keep the firecrackers from getting wet, and from starting a fire on the boat. I just am not sure on how to cause ignition. That would scare the junk out of me if some one was to prank me, I could only guess how someone who was trying to be stealth would feel.

Skeeter, you have my apologies. It was my understanding that you were indeed advocating vigilante justice, which would only compound the crimes already committed. I obviously misunderstood your meaning.

Then the nice old geezer in the next slip down comes down for a late night excursion cause he can't sleep, sets it off and goes into cardiac arrest, falls in and drowns.

I can't dance like I used to.
