Check car audio places. Last resort but they should have it. Multistrand is what you want.

I ran 6ga. on my old boat. Man what a difference. Had a bit more power and never overheated and shut down my relay on long runs after upsizing from 12ga to 6.

Otherwise order it online. I've got a roll at home I could sell ya if you get desparate. I think there is enough to run full length of a boat twice. I can look. I ordered a big spool of it and it's just sitting there. Forgot I had it actually.

Ok thanks, I just went to a 24v on my tracker and the factory wiring worked fine until i ran on high for a 1/2 mile then it popped my breaker and actually melted the wire. So that kinda makes me nervous. Did you see any length in battery life? Mine go quite a while, but i have been doing a lot of trolling with it and after about 6 hours of constant trolling they start to go.

Im thinking somewhere in town will have a spool that i can buy by the foot. The car audio places are awful proud of their wire.

Yes they are proud. Why I ordered a spool on eBay. Lol!!

Life? Not really. I never trolled with mine like that. Power yes. Mine would pop too which is why I upgraded. Big difference. Never popped again wide open I'm windy water for half a mile. 65lb thrust Kota 24v.

That's no lie. Or change spots or baits. :)

Nice trolling motor! I got the 80lb Fortrex. I can hit 3.5mph (gps) on my Ranger RT188!! Lol!! She's a screamer. Bet it would do 4.5 with the 112lb thrust. That's craziness!!

I can hit about 3.0 with it. My tracker is just the 175 txw. kinda have to be careful with the remote, if i hit prop on and it is on full it will about toss me out of the boat. I cant wait to get it linked up to my Lowrances, I still got to get rid of my bird on the front and buy a HDS touch, Any suggestions? I have a HDS 7 i plan on moving to the bow and i want to get one for the back, i kinda feel the hds7 touch will be to small at the console to run the side scan.

Gen2 HDS 10 IS what I have. I don't have to have a touch screen and now that Gen 3 is out.....you should be able to scoop up (2) HDS10's for the price of one HDS10 touch. Or a 12.

Think about that. Two 8's or two 10's on the console (drool). Not kidding. I bet you could get the 10 for $1k or$1.22k with the LSS2 unit. Maybe even below $1k.

3 is about what mine averages. And I feel ya on getting thrown out. Almost happened to me once.

I already have the LSS2 unit so all i need is a head unit and wiring. "Birdwatcher" also has the Xi5 linked up and he thinks the touch is the only way to go considering the link controls, and from what i have read i think i would agree. I have had my eye on the 10's until i talked to him. But i really feel that the way they are set up is more for a touch screen interface. I hate all these decisions. Its tough cuz there isnt a lot of info out yet on how they link up.

Yep. I thought Xi5 was for birds and not for Lowrance.

If it's not linked in at the console, the non touch model could work. The 9touch could be a good option but for trolling, the 10is great. I watch 4 views on the same screen. GPS, side scan, down scan, sonar.
