kjackson
Hey, Randy-- I don't want to put you off Ranger's deep vee models, but they are a bit pricey. I also was looking at them and kept my focus on the smaller of the two models. As I recall, MSRP retail rigged the way I wanted was in the upper 20s. Considering that I was going to buy and rig electronics and the trolling motor myself, the price kept me thinking other things. The Ranger dealer in Rogers is on Walnut in the Hobby Lobby complex close to the interstate. The few times I visited, they had the jon and bass style boats and no vee models. On another note, if you decide to sell your boat, give me a yell. I'm not ready quite yet as we've moved, and I'm trying to figure out the Truman Lake fishing scene. I do think a tiller is the answer to what I need and want, but I need to see how well my current boat does up here and what I would prefer. I will post about my existing before I trade or sell what I have now.
Ketchup
I have studied the Walleye Central board more than once. I seem to be looking in between what is posted - more than 12,000 and less than 40,000. I will go talk with the Ranger dealer. Perhaps they can teach me. And I am definitely looking tin. After you get that new boat, your more than welcome to come join us bass tourney tin guys. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM. rps
After you get that new boat, your more than welcome to come join us bass tourney tin guys. What a great invitation! However, I do not compete well. I punch, kick, and bite. How about if I bring the boat around to see and cook? Look up Lund Rebel 1650 XS with a double bubble with an Evinrude 90 Etec and a butt seat to go with the accessories.
Ketchup
Nice rig. Center rod storage is a great addition on that model. Layout looks good. Perfect boat to come fish with us guys. We can handle the punching and kicking, but the biting we will have to discuss. "Others body fluids don't set well". Congrats on the Lund. Only fished out of 1, and it was on Lake Erie Smallie fishing. Very stable and solid rig. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
