fishinwrench Posted October 4, 2016 Share Posted October 4, 2016 Well I took in... 2 blown powerheads (both Mercs). 1 blown jet pump. 1 rectifier/regulator fire that roasted the whole top end. ,....................................................... The ones I saved (pit crew style) so they could still finish the derby consisted of: 3 power pack/switchbox failures. 1 stator failure. 1 voltage regulator failure. 1 broken control cable. 2 livewell/recirc pumps. 1 overheat (shadetree water pump job gone wrong). 2 non working running lights. 1 trailer wheel bearing failure. If he had cables instead of hydraulic steering he'd still own a motor. I wish him luck on an insurance claim, but I'd say he's probably screwed.
