they work, tested mine sat 6/24 lost my balance as I steped out of boat on to dock went over backwards, had a couple of feet over my head before it went off but it works. wasn't too pleasant an experience at 72 yrs old didn't really want to go swimming, I wear my vest all the time I'm in the boat us old folks don't have reflexes like we use too

Good to hear you had it on!........I religiously wear mine and get snickered at occasionally; but I'm not taking any chances. I'm a great swimmer; but like you found out........stuff happens.

wasn't alone the boater and several others came to my aid. think I was dehydrated and was very weak for awhile after drinking more fluids began to feel better not sure I would have made it out without some assistance

I bought a super duper from cabelas...for a bargain.  But co2 catridge was expired...but they sent me recharge kit.  If in market...look at cabelas

Glad to hear your ok....i have noticed i seem to dehydrate easier in the last year than i use to and it's not hard to do..

Gave my 77 year old step-dad one at Christmas for that same possible event. He won't wear a regular vest. I'm glad it worked for you!
