Before the tornado I had a neighbor that was always messing with exotic animals, and at one time or another he had just about everything you could imagine.  He got this enormous bull gorilla and was always on me to "come up and see it".  Well I have a thing about monkeys (I hate them) so I really had no desire to go over to his place to see the stupid gorilla.  So the tornado happens and while I'm out picking through my wreckage he comes walking over and informs me that the gorilla is at large and is probably scared and confused.

Great !

Amazingly the stupid thing came back to it's cage on its own the next day, but can you imagine having a pissed off bull gorilla running around during a catastrophe clean up?  Not cool.

You would have been like Paul Gleason in Trading Places.  If that gorilla would have caught you.

The Lion and Bengal Tiger people were down P rd.

As far as I know Jimmy (my ex-neighbor) never had any cats, but he had just about everything else. And the critters were always getting loose.  It was common to wake up in the morning and have peacocks on my porch, or a Zebra, Llama, or Giraffe in my yard.

Looking back that was alot of fun/excitement.  The kids loved it.

There was a guy years ago at the lake with lakefront property down whatever the road name is where Dog Day's is on that owned a Black Jaguar.  Had high fence all the way down to the water.  I believe one time it was by the water and happen to pick a bass fishing lure and got it stuck in its lip.  Imagine trying to remove that?!

The local law had a hell of a time trying to get the Bengal Tiger people to get rid of them.   One of the cats mauled a kid pretty good during a parade deal when they were up town showing them off, then a pair of them got loose and killed somebody's little ankle biter dog and chased a kid on a 4-wheeler scaring him and his parents half to death.  They had some kind of license/permit though, so nobody could legally do anything about it.   It was quite an ordeal for awhile around here.  Finally they fell on hard times and the bank forclosed on their property.....and them and their freakin cats moved away and became someone else's problem.
