Gavin Posted October 12, 2018 Share Posted October 12, 2018 Pidgeon Creek has a long drainage and lots of pasture along it. Figure most of the gravel comes from up there. Read somewhere that Montauk Spring used to be a blue hole like Meramec, Round Spring, etc. but got filled with gravel during a flood up Pidgeon Creek. I would think that the pasture grass would help keep the erosion down but obviously, it doesn't. I haven't been down below the park for a while. I may take a trip to see what is going on down there.
