Glove recommendations

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any suggestions on quality gloves for cold weather fishing? Numb hands early Sunday morning made fishing tough, but losing feel while wearing gloves makes fishing impossible for me.

Thanks in advance for any info!

I normally use golf rain gloves.  They are good down to the mid 30s for me.  When it is colder than that I wear beaded Jersey gloves.  I take more than one pair so I can put on dry ones if needed.  I can feel with them and have a good grip on my rod handles.

Go to ladies section at Walmart,  get 10 pairs of cheap stretch gloves for 3.99. If they get wet change to another pair. Can still feel and keep my hands warm,  when a hook snags them throw that glove away or very little expense.  I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to keep my hands warm while fishing and hunting.  This is the most economical and warmest option I have found that I can cast and feel bites with.

Liner gloves underneath wool fingerless gloves is my go to for when it's really cold. I wore that setup during the Elfrink trout tourney a few weeks ago when it was in the teens and my hands stayed nice and warm even after the liner tips got a little wet from putting fish in the livewell. There was no issue fishing a jig for trout that morning with them on.
