I typed out a big response and deleted it. Figured I’d feel guilty in the morning.    Ps: I think Ronald Reagan (who I love) was to liberal.

They are really popular for floating rivers in the Pacific Northwest, they can handle some pretty nasty rapids.  A buddy of mine had one and I'd get on the oars every once in a while and it takes surp

All that being said, I don’t want to run a prop on the white river ever again. Jet drives for me from now on.

Jet PUMP is the proper term.   But who cares.  If someone acts like they don't understand what you mean it's because they are playing word games.

Apparently many of our local redneck boat builders here on the White river are partial to tunnels these days. Seems most of the newer models have tunnels. I posted a couple of random pics earlier but here is a more concise list and better pics. As I said before, I haven't been in a tunnel jet but there must be a reason these guys are building them.

If the goal is to navigate shallower then making them WIDER would be a good move.    Why are all of the "White river boats" so rediculously narrow ?

Most of the manufacturers are still holding to the old way which was a wooden boat that was paddled.  I believe they make some 60" bottom riverboats now though.
