My Dad had a 6 foot Premier in Light that was really nice. I bought that rod in the 7 foot model because I like the extra length and it was not (IMO ) a good jig rod. Totally different feel.
I tried one of their Panfish series and was very disappointed. Scared to try another

I think I'm going to buy the PS60LF, 6 foot light. I was going to go ultra light but I think the light will work fine and I could also throw a ned with it if I'm not chasing crappie.

I run an avid 6'-6" light action for trout/panfish and would highly recommend!

Pan fish series are way weak. Not quite Eagle Claw weak but close.

Saw this post and called about a replacement for an Avid series we broke earlier this year and they told me they still did not have a replacement. I'll continue to wait.

They told me earlier they would not replace it but this time they said as soon as enough were available they would.

St.Croix, as bad as I hate to admit it, has taken a dump on their loyal customers.

I was a huge fan for alot of years, but they lost me when they decided to quit making good flyrods.   Many of the other rod manufacturers are doing the same thing.   It's just the way things are nowadays I guess.

What good is a lifetime warranty if they fully intend to discontinue the model in a year or two...and replace it with something totally incomparable ?

St.Croix tried to replace a $430 fly rod that broke on me with a $200 dollar rod and tried to tell me that the cheaper rod was just as good  I asked the St.Croix rep why would I  spend so much on a good rod when I could spend a lot less on a cheap rod. He had no answer for that logic. Haven't bought one of their rods since.
