Wanted to try something I picked up at Hobby Lobby yesterday so I ran up to the dam for about 90 minutes today- 12:30 - 2 pm. Water was all the way down. More people than the other day but not too crowded. Saw lots of fish- browns still shaking eggs above #2 outlet.

I bought some small glass beads. Compared to cyclops beads, I'd say they're 1/16th. Very small. I threaded one on my 7x fl. tippet and wrapped it around twice to hold it in place. Tied a #18 2487 bare hook on the set the hook about 2 inches from the hook. Float about 3 feet deep. Ended up putting a couple of tiny split shot to make sure it was rolling on the bottom. Fished it for an hour off and on with limited success- 2 hookups- one small brown and one small rainbow. Broke off once on either a rock or a fish on the hook set. Saw more fish caught today than the other day. Bret Rader had a couple of guys and they were doing well. So was a gentleman just up from me. Whatever they were using it was small.

The egg idea is from fishing beads in AK. I bought several colors- all look good. Just not sure if they going to be affective here. Was trying to fish them below where browns were shaking but didn't really see any trout keying in on feeding below them... but they were midstream and I was on the bank in my tennis shoes. Didn't really try anything else.

Me and my father just got back from fishing this morning. Phil is right, they are hitting on very small size scud 16-18 and midges in same or smaller sizes. That was what the successful fisherman were using. Dark colors worked better. We on the other hand were fishing larger size scuds and lighter in color and we couldn't buy a take. Caught one small brown on an olive PMS and had a rainbow take it another time but threw it. My father had a large fish on an olive pine squirrel sculpin but 6X tippet broke. Beautiful day though and fun nonetheless.

i fished from about 930 until 1140 and did very well using a crackleback and a chocolate midge dropper. i started off below #2 and missed a few on the c-back and caught a couple of bows on the midge. i moved up towards #2 and caught about 15 on the midge and 2 on the c-back.

i switched over to an olive bugger for about 15 mins before leaving and had 2 strikes with 1 bow landed.

all the fish except one were bows and nothing went over 16inches.

but hey...at least i wasnt working!

You are so stupid you threw a rock at the ground and missed.

Yes sir, I am. And dont tell anyone, but I was "working" last night when I posted that fishing report. I had the manager on duty status

Phil, do you guys have any pontoons for sale anymore or did you get rid of them?

You might check Scotty's. There are new owners there and they may be looking to change some old ones out- just guessing.

Also call some of the marinas on Table Rock.
