  1. My better half just asked "which one has the biggest bathroom"? Guess which one I will be getting? I do appreciate all the replies. I guess I should have told her about the bathroom situation. Never crossed my mind. Tree's, for nature calling, and sinks for bath's, work for me.
  2. It's a deal dave. I knew it was humor. The gamble will be if I wrap you up with my wild casting. I need at least 50' on all sides. The good thing is, if I am fishing Rebar Hole, I have it all to myself. haha Look for a 3/4 4x4 black suburban, OK tags. The one thing I really like about the pop-up is the compact size. When not in use, it can be stored in a regular house garage. That I really like. I have never heard of the sides leaking on the newer vinyl sides. But I have heard that if used a lot, then you would need to replace the vinyl sides.
  3. Pontoon and Kayak? Neither of those are on my wish list at this time. No lottery/gambling, don't believe in them. I for one believe you should work for you belongings. That doesn't mean I won't fish with someone that has.
  4. It is time for me to start thinking about a travel trailer. There are four of us most of the time, but as a blended family goes, there are times when there will be six of us. I have been looking at both types, just can not make a decision. The pop-up looks to sleep more, but will be very cramped if all of us go at the same time. I understand that it should be used mainly as a sleeping area, but there will be times when everyone will want to be inside. Also, most of the pop-ups I have looked at do not have showers/restrooms. Now, the bumper type travel trailers have more room/slideouts, restroom and showers, but most do not sleep 6. Has anyone out there used both, that can give me some input on this. I don't want to fork out the money and find out I have made a mistake. Also, fifth wheels are out of the question, already have a suburban.
  5. Anyone have a list of some really good fiction fly fishing novels? I picked up a short stories book the other day at Hastings, but it is along the lines of Euorpean settings.
  6. I think you are catching the same fish, Leonard. Start notching their tails or something. Better yet, don't, so when I come down I won't feel like I am catching your pet. haha
  7. Are you talking about the fly rods or her shoes? Things are fine now guys, but the lesson learned here is to hide, not hide in plain site. I am just glad she didn't find the fly reels. Maybe it is time to bring them out of the closet, so to speak.
  8. Off the hook...I made a comment about shoes , and all is well now. hehehe
  9. Nice fish SIO3. How about moving the Arkansas River, Illinois River, and any others that have to do with Temperate Bass thread to this section, adding a current flow link to it as well. And I am sure I will think of other things as time goes by.
  10. My good fortune has just ran out. My "good wife" cleaned out my closet and found my rod stash. Talk about a wet hen. No more fly fishing goody's for me. Oh, woes is me...
  11. Hello hillbilly, good to have you here. Youe brother Terry will be here before long...
  12. Sounds to me, that the square peg is not fitting in the round hole. Come on, nature is polluting the rivers? Benny Doyal's attorney is going to have a field day with this.
  13. If it was the honey do's, then I need to space them out over the long haul. And see what happens.
  14. You could not have asked for a better game. A Robbed homerun, a ninth inning that will go down in the books of history. What a way to finish a ninth inning.
  15. hehe haha, for a couple of days anyway.
  16. Pulling the post. Don't want to jinx them. Oh baby...
  17. I came home from work today to find a wrapped package next to my chair. Not expecting anything, haven't been a good boy lately, I asked my wife what's this for. Figuring, it was for one of the kido's. She hands me a card and the wrapped package and say's, "it's yours". I do a quick memory check, to make sure it's not her birthday or our anniversary. Whew, thank goodness it wasn't. It's ok Russ, your not going to feel like a loser. The card was a "Just Because", and in the wrapped package was a Fishpond Chest Pack. Man, have I been a good boy or what? Or, do I have a great wife?
  18. SOLD
  19. That would be great. I just wish they could, would enforce it in the first restricted zone.
  20. If it needs to be pliable, why not use silicone. That, I have plenty of.
  21. HAHAHAHAHA...HAHAHAHAHA...Terry, you can come up with some good ones.
  22. Thanks snagged, that is what I was thinking, just needed a second opinion. I have been doing great. Really busy though, last two weeks, I have been working day and night. It sure makes an old man older. Just two more days like that. Then it is time to fish more.
  23. Thats a weird looking armadillo...To much fur. Leonard, I use to fish an enclosed dock that had part of the floor cut out to fish in. In the winter time you would be catching crappie hand over fist, and all the sudden they would stop. On more than one occasion a beaver would slowly come into site and pop his head out of the water. It looked like a submarine coming to the surface. Kind of eerie. Funny thing was, we almost always scared the beaver...until he slapped that dang tail. It was like a cannon going off, sitting inside the dock.
  24. I had to cut off the tip of my fly line and noticed it had a hollow core. I need to seal this so it won't fill up with water and sink. What can I use?
