  1. Oh I forgot .. The lot will be on a spot in Peaceful Valley Rv park. It's behind Fort Bennett. Within walking distance of all the snacks. LOL
  2. I will have elec, water and sewer yes. I won't use the toilet for #2 though. Less stinky that way. They are supposed to build new facilities along with the new section too. It will be shut down when it has the chance of freezing though. Same as the park does really. So it's no big deal. I can't wait to have a place to go to without having to worry about putting up and taking down the camper.
  3. You know Jerry I stumbled upon the flo pink brassie thing one day after a hard rain. I noticed a few worms being washed into the stream from that little creek down after the high bank hole. I didn't have any San Juan worms so I found that in my old stuff from way back. I put a good point on it with a file and caught a ton of fish that day. With all this rain if it ever does clear up a little it will almost have to work pretty well. The campground where I'm getting a lot for my travel trailer may never get done at this rate. They are adding some new pads and I reserved one so when they get it done I have a nice new spot. Hopefully it will clear up so they can get it done before I get back there.
  4. I guess you don't believe me Jerry. That hurts....LOL I fished an egg pattern a couple weeks ago. Does that count.?? It was good until the current went ballistic and the level came up about 6" in about 4 hours. If the water would have been a little more clear I would have tossed a flo pink brassie. It usually does pretty darn good in stained water.
  5. Probably just standard olive then Jerry. I'll just stock my box with brassies and glo-bugs this year. Of course ill modify the glo bugs with the hook turned out a little so the fish can get hooked an little easier. Maybe I'll even add a couple chamois bugs and pellet flys.
  6. Yeah.... But the Suzy hole is usually pretty crowded!! LOL
  7. Jerry our yearly get together/ get away is the weekend before Labor Day weekend. I should be down on the Thursday or Wednesday night before though. So whatever the dates in the end of August is what we're talking about.
  8. Oh yeah!! I won't forget that. Should I get a quart and make hot wings too??
  9. That'll work. I'm sure I have a copy or two of fly fishing videos laying around the house too. I'll pick up a gallon of peanut oil for the fish and a few bags of Andy's seasoning.
  10. Pat, That was Bruegy. I think he was there 2 years ago I believe. Maybe I'll find some stuff from F-C and bring it along and play it outside on the laptop. You can keep wasp patrol
  11. Jerry, There is no tournament. But there will be a good time. If you are planning on coming it is the weekend before Labor Day weekend.. We will be there on the 22nd I believe. You are welcome to stay with us if you want. It's not a huge bed but it is better than a tent. We plan on staying till the following Wednesday morning. Not sure where the camper will be, it may be in the park or on a lot in a private campground just outside the park. All you will need is some sheets and pillows and a blanket. Hopefully the water gets worked out by then. Maybe we can even have a campfire again this year. Lots of things to look forward to
  12. Cool, should I bring the Redhot?? One fish I've never tried to go after. Never ate it either. I hear they are pretty tasty. I guess I'll try to fillet up some trout this year too and put some lemon pepper on them after they hit the paper towels to drain the excess grease. I got my eye out for one of those 3 burner stoves similar to the one you got too.
  13. Pat, In case you don't know that is my brother. He hasn't filled in his profile yet. Maybe we can get him to even put a picture on his profile too. We will have to cook up a good one this year.
  14. Pat make sure you resize your pics to load able size. I load mine to like 640x800 I think then hit upload image. Simple as pie on e you get your ducks in a row
  15. It will happen as soon as they turn me loose from this job. Maybe we can camp out when I get back before I put it on my lot. Once I place it and level it it's there for a while.
  16. The orange worked good enough for 20 fish I think it was. After the water came up really high it was pretty tough getting a good drift. Stripping may have been the answer.
  17. Pat, I'm guessing this is the baby you refer too??
  18. Wayne, I didn't even think about stripping a bugger. There wasn't a bunch of people there either. I thought about a crackleback but I didn't have anything in the colors I thought about that would work well.
  19. Fishing was not very good with the water going up from 2.58 to 3.22. Flo orange egg pattern seemed good in the morning till the cold front came through and the water got real murky. Wind was cranking and it was snowing Friday morning so we packed it up and headed home.
  20. It's already functional Pat. Now when will it be producing to help the fish quality is a different story.
  21. Wayne, I'm with you on all accounts. Convenience is the major factor many people like Bennett. It's time that the so called caretakers leave things alone. If they care about anything other than$$$$$&$$ Pat, I'll post up the pics of my fish I catch on my flo pink brassie. That's the only fly I will use. LOL Maybe I'll sling a few kapoks if things get tough. Depending on water clarity I may toss a few olive midges or rusty midges. I'll let you know Rich
  22. Rod no longer for sale.
  23. A hatch chart specific to Bennett would be cool. But if I can see what is coming off the water and how the fish are acting is pretty much all I need. You just need to have all the bullets in the supply. If not you can usually find something close enough. Size to me is the most important factor. Then presentation then color. You can bet if they sold what people were using to catch fish other than the usual trout park stuff they would certainly be posting it. I myself am glad they don't. I never pay any attention to what they say is working really. I stick to about 5 go to flys every time I go. None of them are ever mentioned thank God. Once again I could care less for their fishing report for fishing advice. I look at it for a people flow report mainly. You can get an idea if the amount of traffic that the park has seen by the pics. But who knows when they were actually taken. I just know BS when I see it. They do provide a look into what is going on but it is only a small fraction of what is reality.
  24. I use the USGS site all the time before heading out fishing. People just need to be truthful that's all. Even though the truth may hurt business a little it will be thanked too by some. Pat, I've seen them swim in Bennett too. But it didn't last too long as they were notified Real quick of the rules.
