    oh i would just go with 12 to 17 lb mono. nothing fancy but i am probably not the best guy to ask. the only time i catch hybrids down there is early (february/march).

    The river is pretty tough right now. It is really high and I'd say you aren't the only one not catching fish. I have had luck on small swim baits down there but I'm guessing it isn't worth fishing until it drops.

    i caught a nice one down there the first weekend of march on a soft bodied swim bait as well. that is probably a little bigger than mine. i'd estimate mine at 6 or 7 lbs. very cool though.

    i caught a couple nice ones Sunday at Mari Osa. 2 bites, 2 fish. By the way, i'm new here. first post. what do you guys typically use? i caught mine on a swim bait. the fish were there, i just had trouble figuring out what they wanted. the only thing i didn't try was liver and live bait.
