What is in your opinion the best bait for rod and reel monster catfish? Mine is blue back herring for flatheads,tred fin shad for blues, and old fashioned nite crawlers for channels. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks Clint

We but in a Baxter boat dock went to the first cove on the right and set our jugs. then went to our secret rock self and fished with live shad and caught 1 flat head that weight 2 lbs and the bait was a pound he swallowed it head first nice eating size fish caught 1 keeper rock bass. the fish were moving slow and were not biting so well after that storm my wife was a sleep in the back of the boat and hooked a fish that took her pole in to table rock it happened fast we think it was a carp or good cat but if anyone finds a Shakespeare rod and a red durango spinning reel can i have it back please. give the fish 2 more weeks and it should be great fishing. nothing on the jugs. WENT TO SPRINGFIELD LAKE SATURDAY AND FISHED FROM 10:OOAM TILL 6:00PM WITH NO SUCCESS THE WATER WAS COLD AND IT WAS MOVING FAST HAD TO BUT 3 OUNCE NO ROLL SINKER TO GET IT TO STAY WERE I PUT IT. DID SEE 2 DIFFERENT PEOPLE WITH 10 POUNDERS OR BETTER WAY DOWN FROM THE DAM ON THE JAMES ON LIVERS.

On a bedliner in is 1/4 on the floor and tail gate and the side walls are 3/16

My name is Clint Case i reside in Rogersville Mo. I am originally from North Carolina and fished a lot in the Santee Copper lakes with tremendous success for monster catfish.
