I posted this on the general discussion forum, but really menat to post it here, hopeing Bill B and Don H may give me some advice.
I've read a bunch of the previous posts about modifying Redfins so they wake better across the surface.
One of the most suggested modifications is the take a pair of pliers or an awl and to bend down the line tie.
I've done this to several of the baits, but here is my question - do you then tie your line directly to the line tie or do you use a snap or split ring. It would seem to me that if you use a snap or split ring you'd defeat the purpose of bending the line tie.
Also, what tends to work better - the jointed Redfins or the straight models?
Thanks a bunch for your help!
