Fished around point 9 today, my results were similar to others (skunked!).... The shad were thick in spots and actually hooked 2 at once on my grub!! I am not sure if the water temp is just entirely too cold yet, or that there are too many dying shad for the bass to forage on, probably a combination of both.
I've been catching quite a few Walleye in the Lost Bridge area as well as other areas of the lake. Most have been in the 16 to 18" range, with a few keepers. Often, I will catch other bass in the same area, I wonder to what extent the Walleye will be competing with the Bass fishery in Beaver?
