Thanks, REDSOXWSCHAMP! We're thinking about staying in about 20 ft of water and casting toward the banks trying a bunch of options. Maybe trying topwater in the morning. Any specific baits you'd recommend?

Hey guys! A couple buddies of mine and I are heading out of Long Creek Marina Saturday morning and will be fishing from 7–11am. Given that we don't have much time, we're hoping to make the most of it and get on some bass ASAP. We're all novice anglers and have never had much luck on the Rock (or anywhere) - despite our futile attempts. So if any of you would care to impart some wisdom upon some rookie youngins' we'd certainly appreciate any tips you could provide! Thanks!

Is the topwater bite lasting all day, or does it die down after the first few hours of sun? I'm heading down today, but won't get there until around 10am, and wasn't planning on trying topwater, but I might if it has been working that late. Thanks!

Thanks for the report. I'm heading out Saturday from Big Cedar to fish for a little while. Sadly, it's only my second time fishing Table Rock this year. I've only been into bass fishing for about a year now, but am really hoping for some good action this weekend. I'm sure there'll be a lot of traffic on the water, but that's to expect for a warm weekend. Any advice you could give a beginner on catching bass tomorrow would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to catch a smallie - as I hear they put up a great fight! Thanks!
