  1. Where can get this book? Whats the title?
  2. I have to say kayaks look very cool compared to a canoe. They look more comfortable also, and they have to paddle upsteam easier.
  3. I tell you what...I have a blast everytime I venture out to this little gem. As a kid I used to spend entire summers out wadeing it. I literally catch 30-50 bass everytime I go. They all are about the size you see in the picture I attached of my son. If you use some light gear it makes for a rocking good time. I do average about 1-3 fish in the 3lb-5lb range each trip as well. The best part is I have never seen another person fishing it ever.
  4. Funny you menttion that little creek, I grew up in Wasington and have fished that creek many many times. It hold a good population of Largemouth, Green ear sunfish and Gar.
  5. YOu bring up some very valid points. I think you have helped to shift my thoughts towards a canoe. I hope someone chimes in with a kayak preferance so I can weigh them out. Thanks for the insight.
  6. You do however bring up a great question, which one is the better option Canoe or Kayak? I must admit the only canoes I have used have been those great big hunks of alluminum that you rent at the float trip places. I have always hated them for fishing....great for drinking beer in....but thats about it. Are there good fishing canoes out there?
  7. I solo fish alot and I don't bring alot of gear. I wanted something I could paddle upstream by myself and then float back to my car. Plus they just seemed funner.
  8. Has anyone had much luck fishing a crayfish fly down at Cardiac hill?
  9. That is one fine looking boat!
  10. Hello all, I am thinking of getting a Kayak to fish the Bourbouse/Meramec rivers primarly. I tend to Flyfish 90% of the time but will spin cast when just hunting for smalies. I am looking for any advice on a good choice of Kayak. What to look for...what to avoid... I will be using it strickly for fishing and have no desire to shoot the rapids. I just thought it would be a great way to cover some water and get away from the normal holes I can wade thru in a days time. I am very exsperieced in a canoe and have been in a kayak a handful of times. Any advice would be helpful..I am looking to spend under 900$ Thanks Flyflinger
  11. Hello all, I have to say that this website is a breath of fresh air. I just moved to Sullivan and I am looking forward to hitting some trout/smallie streams. I frequent Cardiac Hill about 1-2 a week...when the water is right. Hope to see you out there. Thansk Flyflinger
