Going to be getting a ML baitcasting setup this summer to go along with my 6'6" medium spinning setup that I use for creek/river smallies. Not really wanting to spend much more than 100$ on the rod alone. Have been looking pretty hard at the CarbonLite from Bass Pro. Looking to use it for fishing jigs, spinnerbaits, and buzzbaits. How's the largemouth/Kentucky fishing on the lower St. Francis? Down towards Fisk and south? Going to be getting a boat here this summer and looking for rivers to fish in areas I frequent. I've fished the St. Francis up around Farmington quite a bit, but never that far south.
