Thanks Gobbler, The CC area is the only place I have hunted. Didn't need a boat to get there. I did have a small buck run in to my grunt across from the ramp. I have seen several nice bucks taken from the area but understand the best spots need to be accessed from the lake side. Good luck and maybe we'll bump into each in some good hunting spots!!

Can someone give me a tip as to where to begin bowhunting on the corp land around Stockton? It's such a big area and I can't boat very far to reach remote areas. Thanks!!

I'm a new angler on Stockton (finally got a boat)and really fell in love with the area. I am also a bowhunter and would love to hunt the many fine acres of Corp land surrounding the lake. I know I may be asking for too much, but I'd deeply appreciate any leads on some good hunting grounds. I hear a lot of guys access land via boat and that would be fine if the hunting is good. I'm not very familiar with the lake yet so a good description may be in order. I usually put in around the greenfield area. If I find a good area I promise to update and I video tape my hunt to place on Youtube. Thanks in advance. Joe
