Fishing Report, June1-3 At Montauk And Below Cable

Thanks for camping info...ended up camping for two nights in loop 1, last time I tent camped was more than 30 years ago. Just like everything else camping takes practice and I really was not good. Second night a little better but very noisy beer drinking immature people made it fairly miserable as well. At least fishing was good and it was nice to be outdoors. Posted fishing report for June 1-3. Thanks Again, John

Camped and fished June 1-3 in Montauk. Caught tons of stocker bows in park with black beetle indicator and various bead head nymph droppers in park. Below cable caught several long term bows on same rig, lost big fish in swift water just below cable but didn't get good enough look to see what it was. Cicada's were deafening in the trees but none were flying around so none in water yet. Good fishing but very hot during afternoons. John

Hi All, I am planning a short camping trip during the week following Memorial day. Was wondering if anyone had some advice which loop would be best location for basic tent camping and fishing. I like to fish outside the park as well. Thanks in advance for any replies. John S

Can't believe I have been wasting my time going to Cardiac Hill, when Montauk was just a little further. Decided I needed a couple of fishing days so I went to Montauk, fished, stayed in lodge motel, and had dinner in restaurant. Spent time between last 100yds of park, and Blue ribbon water just below, caught lots of fish and had awesome time.
