Fished buddy tourney Sunday. Winners had 4 fish limit 13 lbs, 10 lbs second, 10 lbs third. we had 4 fish 8 lbs. Fish in shallow brush but moved when sun came up. Flipped Watermelon Biffle bugs and black emerald Gene Larew salt craws. Could not get a deep brush pile bite. Lake level is stable, water on mail lake is 5-6' visibility, creek arms are 2-3' visibility. Good fishing, 3-Liter

Thanks for the help guys. I lurk on this site but do not post. I saw someone on here say that no good information was ever posted but I really found help here. I fished a Kansas club event Oct 13-16 so I watched this site before I went. It gave me some basic info as to where to start and what depth to look at. Being a Kansas river fisherman I went up the Kings river to the 86 bridge and fished back with no keepers in practice. Day one I ran the river again with no keepers. On the way back with 1 hour left I stopped at the large island where the Kings and White meet and found 3 keepers in the standing timber at about 30-40' on 7' worms. Day two could not get bit in the timber so I went to bluff ends with a spook. Wound up 3rd in the event, about 3/4 lbs out of first. Thanks much for the help. 3-Liter
