Flourocarbon does not absorb water. The reason why it is less visible in the water is that its refractive index is closer to that of water.

I pretty much fly fish exclusively. I have had great luck at JAR mainly with topwater stuff around weed beds. When I'm out there I try not to be picky, anything that bites is worth it, the tug is the drug! -
