  1. Hey Guys, Thanks to everyone for your responses and emails. I was able to quickly figure out a decent pattern thanks to your tips. In the last day of practice, I zeroed in on four areas I would focus on. I had a couple of good fish on in each of those spots during practice. On day 1, I had my keeper at 9:30 and continued to catch short fish on my jig all day. On day 2, the fish were not hanging around in any one spot any more. They were cruising, so my pattern didn't work out. I tried to change up and focus on channel swings and secondary points. It didn't work out, but I feel okay about how I did, based on the conditions and the very limited time I had to practice. I finished 45th in that tournament and moved up 4 spots in the standings. I ended up 18th overall for the year (out of 100+ boaters). Thanks a lot for taking the time to help me. I appreciate it. Maybe I'll talk to you again next year. If you ever get up to the potomac river, I'd be glad to help you out. Christiana Bradley www.christianabradley.com christianabradley@yahoo.com
  2. Thanks for the response guys. I sure do appreciate it. It sounds like I'll be working hard looking for brush piles during practice. Since I won't have much time to figure out a pattern (color, etc), maybe you can give me a hint on color. I'd assume pumpkin would be a good color since the water's so clear? Can you give me an idea about what depth some of the brush piles are in and how far from the bank? I'd like to have an idea where to start looking for them. Do you think any particular area is better than the others (where there's brush piles) for big fish (banks vs. points, rocky bank vs. clay bank (if clay even exists down there?), etc. As you can see, this Virginia girl is clueless. I'm used to almost chocolate milk colored water with lots of current (Potomac River). If you'd like to email me, I would be forever grateful. Thanks again! christie christianabradley@yahoo.com
